AVANT TOUT bolted up on his only previous start in a bumper at Vire in May last year and he's entitled to have improved again since joining leading connections form France. Willie Mullins has found him a real opening for his first start on these shores and he's expected to have been well prepared in the schooling ring at home. Utmost Zeal won a bumper at Punchestown but needs to improve on his performance over hurdles at Naas in November, while Nimdani rates best of the rest.

Top Tip: Avant Tout (2)
Watch out for: Utmost Zeal (3)

Avant Tout was an impressive winner of a French bumper on his sole start in France and he looks to have been found a good opportunity to get off the mark over hurdles for the all-conquering Willie Mullins yard. Nimdani was below form last time, though had previously chased home the smart Tell Us More at Punchestown in October and is respected on that form, while Utmost Zeal is also considered.

STAY WITH IT couldn't justify cramped odds at Cork last time out, but he wasn't disgraced shouldering a 6lb penalty for his stylish Clonmel success and is expected to bounce back with further improvement anticipated. Never Complain is interesting reverting to hurdles for this assignment, but Black Ice carries a winner's penalty following a dominant Limerick display on Monday and he's feared most.

Top Tip: Stay With It (2)
Watch out for: Black Ice (5)

Plenty in with a chance, though Never Complain appeals most. An improved performer since sent chasing, he looks potentially very well treated reverting back to timber. Stay With It can get back on track after seemingly finding the race coming too soon at Cork last time, while Black Ice is another to consider, carrying a penalty for his Limerick win 3 days ago.

On his handicap chase debut here last month, WEST OF THE EDGE absolutely bolted up for James Dullea and he's hard to oppose reverting to hurdles off a 7lb higher mark. The Westerner gelding finished second off this mark at Clonmel on heavy ground in March last year and that form suggests he's up to going in again. All Honours is one of three track and trip scorers in the field and he's noted, along with Drive On Locky.

Watch out for: All Honours (8)

Drive On Locky and All Honours are both capable of a bold show, while Sacre Malta is off the same mark as when hitting the crossbar in this race 12 months ago. However, none make more appeal than West of The Edge, who bettered anything he'd previously achieved when forging clear to land a handicap chase here last month and will be hard to beat if reproducing those pyrotechnics back over hurdles.

MARITO won this race 12 months ago on his last start under Rules, beating the reopposing Roi Du Mee in the process, and the form of his recent victory between the flags was boosted when the second hacked up in a hunters' chase at Down Royal on St Stephen's Day. Turban has a bit of a point to prove after disappointing at Haydock but it is impossible to rule him out for the champion trainer. Aupcharlie appeared to want a sterner test of stamina when sighted on his reappearance at Navan but can strip fitter for that outing here.

Watch out for: Turban (3)

Marito hasn't been seen out under Rules since landing this race 12 months ago, but he scored in good style between the flags in November so won't be found wanting for fitness. The 9-y-o is confidently expected to make a winning debut for Colin McBratney, perhaps at the chief expense of Aupcharlie. Roi du Mee and Foildubh are also in with a shout of picking up place money.

WITHER HILLS had Sweetheart Susan (finished fourth) in arrears when finishing a one-length second at Clonmel and is backed to go one better here. Saddlers Luck couldn't reel in a runaway winner when sighted over hurdles in County Tipperary but the suspicion is that chasing will be his game as a former point winner and there should be more to come from him. Hop In was disappointing when well supported at Killarney in May but has gone well fresh in the past and perhaps a new tongue-tie can aid his chances further.

A repeat of Wither Hills Clonmel chase debut second should see him bang there, but the value may come in the shape of Hop In who showed potential himself over fences last term, and who boasts a pretty decent record fresh.
