The form of DIFFERENT GRAVEY's debut success at Newbury took a boost when his stablemate Days Of Heaven hacked up at Ludlow next time out and the former point-to-point winner can improve for the extra yardage here. The High Chaparral gelding faces some some stiff opposition, though, not least from Brother Tedd, who carries a double penalty but has been very impressive in his last two victories at Kempton and cannot be discounted. Zeroeshadesofgrey drops back in trip but his handler has stated he has the speed to compete over this kind of yardage, while Thomas Brown and As De Mee deserve closer market inspection.

CAID DU BERLAIS was well supported in his bid to follow up his victory in the Paddy Power Gold Cup at the International Meeting last month, but was pulled up after blundering in the back straight. He races off the same mark here, though, and this looks a gilt-edged opportunity for another course success. Splash of Ginge was another casualty in that contest when coming down four out, but travelled well enough to suggest there could be more to come from him in this sphere. Tenor Nivernais got the better of a dual future winner when scoring at Kempton and warrants respect, while Rolling Aces and Hunt Ball are worth a second look having both run with credit in the Grand Sefton at Aintree.

Ulzana's Raid is clearly progressive and boasts sound claims, despite the burden of top weight, following his gutsy C&D success last time out. Alan King's charge is now two from two at Cheltenham, further enhancing his claims, but SYBARITE (fourth) looked the one to take out of that race here last month based on the amount of ground he made up inside the final two furlongs. Nigel Twiston-Davies' charge is effectively on 7lb better terms with the winner when taking into account Ryan Hatch's 5lb claim and it would come as no surprise if he reversed the form. Southfield Vic is another to take seriously.

When Beat That won back-to-back Grade 1 races at Aintree and Punchestown in April last year, the world looked to be his oyster and he has to be seriously considered on his return from a 246-day absence. The son of Milan gained the scalp of the reopposing Cole Harden in the Sefton Novices' Hurdle at the Liverpool track, but Barry Geraghty's decision to ride VANITEUX suggests the seven-year-old might be in need of the run.
