MAJOR ROWAN demonstrated his effectiveness on Fibresand when scoring over track and trip off 6lb lower 19 days ago and looks open to more improvement than most of his rivals on what is only his tenth career outing. General Tufto has finished in the first three on 30 of his 74 starts at this track and has place claims, though a greater danger to the selection may be Irene Hull, a C&D second in June who now returns from a 164-day absence. Grey Destiny debuts on Fibresand but looks feasibly weighted on his best Tapeta form.

Watch out for: Irene Hull (1)

General Tufto won this event 12 months ago and shaped as if he was building up to something when third here last time, while Jonnie Skull has slipped to a workable mark, but Eium Mac wasn't beaten far on his recent fibresand debut and, having slipped to a basement mark, may finally break his duck. Major Rowan has shown improved form over C&D the last twice and also cannot be discounted.

LITTLE has been holding her form well at plating level lately and looks capable of giving another good account now returned to the handicap ranks off a mark of 67. Jamie Osborne's filly struck in a C&D claimer in November so her effectiveness on the surface is proven. Never Easy ran well for a long way over 7f here last month and is a potential improver now reverting to sprinting. The pick of the remainder may prove to be last-time-out C&D third Bannister Bell.

GROSMONT wasn't disgraced in a 6f handicap here last month and if running to a similar level of form over this shorter trip now returned to maiden company, a big run could be on the cards. James Given equips his charge with first-time blinkers, which could be a source of possible improvement. Tolly Mcguiness has place claims on his best all-weather form, while there may be better to come from Michael Bell inmate On The Huh, who makes some appeal on his debut fourth at Kempton.

You can almost set your clock by Poyle Vinnie he is that consistent and Michael Appleby's charge looks certain to be in the shake-up again, while Meadway warrants plenty of respect following his game victory in a C&D handicap. The vote, however, goes to DUNGANNON. Although he has yet to prove himself on this surface, Andrew Balding's seven-year-old looked better than ever when notching up a tenth career win at Lingfield last time and he is very well treated at these weights being 8lb+ ahead of these rivals on official figures.

It is tough to look past REVE DE NUIT who extended his tally of victories at this track with an emphatic nine-length romp over 1m3f last month. Noguchi did run a cracker on his first start for his new yard, though, chasing home the all-weather stalwart La Estrella with a new set of cheekpieces fitted. That tack is retained so he can give another good account, but Street Artist and Reach The Beach both recorded C&D victories in November and cannot be ruled out.

Not too hard to envisage Reve de Nuit gaining his seventh course victory and he will likely continue to mop up at this level for the rest of the winter. Street Artist is clear second best on the figures.
