Expert Analysis
A well-run bumper but even so only so just eight and a half lengths covered the first six home and while some are good prospects, that chances are that none is a star. Unusually, Willie Mullins had no runner.
BROADWAY TED did well to come from off the pace, travelling strongly as he had done on debut at Ayr, overcoming greenness to hold on in photo. There should be more to come after just two starts and he is very likeable.
WITH NOLIMIT has progressed with each start this season, reversing Navan form with the favourite, and looks a stout stayer in the typical Gigginstown mould.
CHARISMATIC KID had been a big money buy since winning a Navan bumper for another yard in December and had received glowing reports about his homework since joining Gordon Elliott. He had every chance here.
IT’S ONLY A GAME played up beforehand and John Gleeson has no option but to drop him out to settle him. He didn’t travel as well as when winning last time but ran well enough from a bad position and the suspicion is that he didn’t run to his best. His temperament is a concern, however.
ROJUCO MAC was very strong in the market but had his chance and didn’t seem to be helping his jockey in the straight where he hung left.
GENEROUS RISK was too keen and will need to settle better.
MOSSY WAY made the running but was the first beaten.
