Proper handicapper over 7 furlongs up to a mile, who enjoyed a little break in the spring and who just finished seventh in a mile handicap over the straight course at Deauville.

Trainer says

She will run in a handicap this Sunday on the PSF (all-weather) track at Deauville. She won her first start for me this season and last time out I ran her over the straight course at Deauville as we are preparing her for the Quinté handicap for female jockeys over the 7f straight course at the end of the meeting. That is why we tested her on the straight course.

He suffered a very hard race at Royal Ascot. Physically he has lost a lot, and mentally I haven’t seen him this bad in a long time. We used the whole month of July to get him back to form but he still needs more time. So there obviously was no Sussex Stakes for us and we will now try and get him ready for the Prix du Moulin de Longchamp. But he needs to improve a lot still and even that race might come too quick for him. We shall see.

A regular performer in 9 furlongs to 1 ½ m handicaps, he was dropped into a claiming race on his last start where he only finished fourth.

Henry will run on the Sunday of the sales. He will run in a 1 ¼ m handicap on turf. He finished fourth on his last start and will run off a better handicap mark now. He is not really a winner, but he is consistent.

Enjoyed a very good 2024 season with two victories in four starts and after winning a Class 2 race on the all-weather in May just found one too good in a 1 ¼ m race last month, finishing just in front of the consistent Wally.

He might also run in the Grand Handicap de Deauville. He won his Class 2 race on the sand at Marseille Vivaux and then was the runner-up in the Grand Prix at the same track. Before that he finished fifth in a Listed, which wasn’t a bad performance.

Won a 7-furlong handicap on his first start this season and then endured a tough race in the Goup 3 Prix de Ris-Orangis behind proven group horses Beauvatier and Tribalist.

Trainer says

He will run in a Class 1 race on the PSF at the end of the Meeting or he might go for the Group 3 Prix du Pin back at ParisLongchamp in September, as he quite enjoys the ups and downs of the track at ParisLongchamp. He is very consistent and hasn’t stopped improving this season. Not sure though that he enjoyed running over the straight course.

Impressive winner of the 6f Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Trainer says

He is in great form. He came back from Royal Ascot in good form. The July Cup came a bit quick after Royal Ascot and so we decided to concentrate on the Prix Maurice de Gheest. 6 ½ f over a straight course is a good compromise. Obviously, we gave him a little time to recover but he is now working well in view of the Maurice de Gheest. I have to admit that I’m still digesting the Royal Ascot experience, it was just incredible. To have a horse that can perform at that level. He is entered in the Sprint Cup at Haydock, but I think we will concentrate mainly on the races on Arc weekend, like the Prix de la Foret and the British Champions Sprint at Ascot. So, Haydock might be a bit much.

Won his last and only race ten starts ago and is struggling in handicaps over the mile.

Trainer says

He will run this Sunday on the PSF in a handicap over 7 furlongs. His last start was at Chantilly in a Class 3 Handicap over the mile. He finished fifth that day and it was actually a good performance. He seemed to find the trip a little long though, so we decided to bring him back to 7 furlongs.

Lightly raced this season, he finished fourth in a 9-furlong handicap giving weight away to the first three home.

He will most probably run in the Grand Handicap de Deauville. He is a nice horse who finished third on his seasonal reappearance and then came fourth in a major handicap at Chantilly. I like him, he is competitive even at his age.

She will run in a handicap at Clairefontaine I think. She has just won a 1m5f race, a maiden at Marseille. I think her race is on the 15th of August. She has plenty of stamina and is on an upward curve.

Trainer says

She won over 6 furlongs at Deauville and so she returns to the track for a 6 ½ furlong race on the straight course for three-year-olds. She has definitely some talent. I think the Listed races at the moment are a little too hard for her. The handicapper gave her quite a bit of weight for her last win and I don’t know if there is much of a margin, but she is a big filly, and I think 6 ½ furlongs will be ok for her.

He has now run twice in Class 2 races where he finished fifth and I reckon it’s just too hard for him. So, I’m going to run him in a big claiming race on the 15th of August at Clairefontaine. He is not dependent on ground.

Won on her debut at Cagnes-sur-Mer this January, but was well beaten when stepped up to Listed company at Deauville last time out.

I stepped her up to Listed company last time, but it turned out to be a bit too difficult for her. So I’m bringing her back to a Class 3 race over 7 ½ f on the PSF. It looks a good race for her, so I’m hopeful.

She won a claiming race this year over 10 furlongs on the all-weather and despite carrying bottom weight on her next start in a handicap she remained unplaced.

She will run in a handicap for fillies only, which will suit her. I think it’s on the 18th of August. It is a really good entry for her.

Fifth in the Group 2 Italian Derby over 11f, he then finished behind stablemate Zarakchic in the Listed at Vichy.

Trainer says

Starnberg was a very good fifth in the Italian Derby. He then finished behind Zarakchic at Vichy and he might run in a Class 2 race at Clairefontaine on the 15th of August. It’s not a bad race for him and he could run well in it.

Third behind Rafale Design in the Group 3 Prix Hocquart, he was stepped up to 1 ½ m in a Listed on his next start at Vichy where he failed to shine and finished 6th.

Trainer says

He will run in the Arqana Sales race over 1 ½ m. He produced a good performance in the Prix Hocquart and then it went pear-shaped in the Listed at Vichy last time out. He was in front and was pressured early, which meant he had to make too much of an effort, and it just didn’t work out.
