Jérôme Reynier recorded a personal best last year when he won 85 races, which allowed him to make it into the top ten trainers in France for the first time. The now six-year-old Skalleti was his biggest earner thanks to a second consecutive victory in the Prix Dollar and a fabulous performance in the Group 1 Qipco Champion Stakes at Ascot; where only the William Haggas-trained Addeybb finished in front of him. Skalleti has already returned to action and is unbeaten in two starts this season, with Reynier hoping for more success.
Here, his trainer talks to Liz Price for attheraces.com about his plans for the talented grey, as well as some of his other inmates, who he looks after at the training centre of Calas, which lies between Aix-en-Provence and Marseille, in the south east of France.
