Winner of four of his 8 starts and currently rated 143. Pulled up in his only start last season at Punchestown (3m 1/2f) in May in the race won by Heron Heights off a mark of 144.

Trainer says

He was only seen once last year on suitable ground at the end of the season at Punchestown. The rain is ideal for him and he will be seen out on soft ground. He may go for the Badger Ales at Wincanton if the ground is suitable and if it’s not we may  give him a run over hurdles and then maybe think of something like the Becher Chase at Aintree in December.

Winner of four of his 25 starts and currently rated 131. Unplaced, beaten 28 lengths, to My Sister Sarah in a handicap hurdle at Punchestown (3m) in May off a mark of 132.

Trainer says

It has been awhile since he had his head in front but the handicapper has finally dropped him below his last winning mark and he didn’t stay three miles at Punchestown. He will be seen out in the next couple of weeks – possibly Plumpton on November 4 in a two and a half mile handicap hurdle.

He had one run over fences and picked up a nasty injury when he fell last season. We will revert to hurdles and he could start off over two and a half miles in the next couple of weeks but he loves plenty of cut in the ground and really it can’t be soft enough for him.

He made a winning reappearance at Exeter last Tuesday when scoring under topweight. It was a nice surprise after a long layoff and we would have been pleased with a top six finish. He has benefited from kissing spine surgery and we will see what the handicapper does with him. The plan had been to give him one run over hurdles and then go novice chasing but we may well give him another run over hurdles.

Winner of nine of his 19 races and currently rated 151 over fences. A winner four times in novice chase company last season and gained his last success at Kempton (2m 4 1/2f) in February when beating Castafiore a length and a half in the Grade 2 Pendil Novices Chase.

Trainer says

He was a really good novice chaser for us last season when winning two Grade 2 novice chases. He disappointed in two runs in Grade 1’s and I was probably to blame. He is in good order and we may start him back over hurdles at Aintree on November 9 in a Class 2 conditions race and that will give him a month until the Peterborough Chase at Huntingdon on December 8.

Trainer says

He has plenty to prove and he was a good bumper horse but the wheels came off since then and he ran no sort of race on his hurdle debut in May. He was diagnosed as a grade 2 wobbler over the Summer and he has been treated for that but the jury is out to see whether he has recovered or not. He is best watched.

He made an underwhelming chase debut last week at Uttoxeter. He has run in a hood in all his runs up to date and hopefully he is just maturing and has grown up a bit and we will take that off in his next run. He was asleep and was just never going and he could go to Exeter on November 13 for another three miles novices handicap chase. He is another for whom the ground can’t be soft enough.

He has had no luck really and had colic surgery over the Summer. He is a long way off a racecourse but hopefully we will have him ready to run in the second half of the season.

She won her first start over fences for us and didn’t get very far on her second run at Warwick. She picked up an injury which ruled her out for the rest of the season but she is back in and doing well. She will run in the valuable mares chases starting at Carlisle on December 1 all being well.

She won her first start over hurdles and has been very disappointing since. We have subsequently cauterised her palate and she is set to switch to chasing.

He is a lovely unraced four-year-old and one we a looking forward to getting started.

Finished second, beaten two lengths, to Golden Taipan on his hurdling debut at Huntingdon (2m) at the beginning of the month and third, beaten two and a half lengths, to Glory And Fortune over the same course and distance later in October. Given a mark of 118 over hurdles.

Trainer says

He has had two runs over hurdles for us and didn’t build on the promise of his first run when a bit too keen. He has been given a mark of 118 and could be seen in a handicap where a more strongly run race would suit him better.

Easy winner of his three bumpers and scored by four and a half lengths from Prince Llywelyn when completing the hat trick at Newbury in March.

Sadly he picked up an injury when winning his third bumper at Newbury in the Spring and he will be on the sidelines until the second half of the season.

Winner of one of his three bumpers scoring by 11 lengths from Stormy Flight at Wincanton in March. Ran too free and pulled up when making his hurdles debut at Aintree (2m 4f) on Sunday.

He is a nice horse who won his second start in a bumper at Wincanton. He probably ran soon enough when fifth in a better bumper at Newbury and we started him over hurdles on Sunday at Aintree but he ran no sort of a race and left us scratching our heads. At the moment there is no explanation and it was just too bad to be true.

Winner of three of his 13 starts and currently rated 158 over fences. Added to his score in a handicap chase at Ascot (2m 3f) in December when beating Janika two and a half lengths off a mark of 143.

Trainer says

He is a big fella 18 hands and he knows it. He is in good order and could start at Carlisle on November 11 in £50,000 Graduation Chase. We will then place him to best effect from there.

Winner of seven of his 11 starts and currently rated 160 over hurdles. Progressed with experience last season and ended his campaign with a head success from Roksana in the Grade 1 Stayers Hurdle at Aintree (3m 1/2f) in April.

He capped off a good season when winning the Grade 1 Stayers Hurdle at Liverpool. On the back of that he is set to remain over the smaller obstacles with a plan to run in the top staying hurdles. He will probably start in the Coral Hurdle at Ascot over two miles three and a half furlongs in November which he won last season and then all being well go back to Ascot for the Long Walk over three miles.

He ran well in two bumpers for a horse who is a three mile chaser. He will be out on soft ground in a few weeks over hurdles over two and a half miles plus.

Trainer says

She won well on her only start to date in a Plumpton bumper. She suffered from sore shins in the Spring but she has made a full recovery and is due to run in the Listed Mares bumper at Cheltenham on November 16 and hopefully go hurdling from there.

He has been a good servant for us and comes good at Ascot. Keep an eye out for him there and that’s where he is due to head, possibly on November 2, but if not we might wait a couple of weeks for the handicap hurdle he won last year.

He won his first two starts last year over fences and then it didn’t really go as we would have hoped in the Spring. He is probably a horse best caught fresh.

She won at Exeter last Tuesday and made it second time lucky over fences when winning a beginners chase. She enjoys better ground and won’t be seen in the depths of Winter but we could for a listed mares novice chase at Bangor on November 13.

He was a little bit keen when finishing third on his reappearance at Exeter and he has an opening mark of 115. We will probably dip our toe in a handicap but I would say he’s not that well handicapped off 115.

He made a really pleasing debut at Ffos Las recently when finishing third. Hopefully, he can build on that next time and should take a bit of beating.

Winner of two of her 5 starts. Dual bumper winner (one listed) who finished second, beaten three lengths, to Deputy’s Oscar on her hurdling bow at Market Rasen (2m 4 1/2f) this month.

She ran over hurdles at Market Rasen recently and was just a bit novicey and will be all the better for the experience. She probably wants slightly slower ground as well and hopefully is another who can build on her first run.

She waved the white flag in a novice chase at Ffos Las a week last Saturday. She lost her confidence on the racecourse after her fall in the Long Distance hurdle last year and we have to try and find the key to her.

He is another coming back from a layoff and he could have a run or two over hurdles and then we will see. Nothing is set in stone at the moment but he will probably start over two or two and a half miles and we will go from there.

He was unlucky not to get his head in front last season over fences and had a couple of decent runner-up efforts in valuable handicaps. He was fourth at Cheltenham on Saturday and I hope it won’t be long before his time comes.

She had a season of two halves last year and was good at the start of the campaign and just went off the boil after Christmas. She seems in good order and we hoped to run her at Southwell last week but it got pretty bottomless. Provided she gets in, the plan is to go for a valuable mares handicap at Wincanton on November 9 over two and a half miles. We have won it a couple of times in the past and finished second with a few as well. All being well she will go there.

I was impressed with his jumping on his debut at Newton Abbot over the larger obstacles. He needs soft ground and conditions were ideal at Aintree on Sunday but, like Green Dolphin, his running was too bad to be true. There are no obvious reasons at the moment.

He was a work in progress last year and he finally managed to get his head in front at Plumpton in January. He could possibly go chasing and we will see when he is ready to run. He hasn’t run since his win.

She is a new filly to us having won an Irish point-to-point. She is only a four-year-old and she will start off in a mares bumper somewhere on a galloping track.

He had two good runs in bumpers finishing third on both occasions and he should relish stepping up in trip. He will go to Hereford on November 4 and soft ground and going over obstacles will suit him.

He made his chasing bow at Plumpton last week over probably an inadequate trip on ground that was slower than he likes. We will aim to step him up significantly from two and a half and hopefully he can build on his reappearance effort.

He provided us with a hugely memorable day at Punchestown in the Spring and he’s back for more. He is in good order with himself and on target to head up to Wetherby on November 2 for the West Yorkshire Hurdle.

Impressive winner of her bumper at Aintree on Sunday.

Trainer says

She came to the rescue at Aintree on Sunday in the Mares bumper otherwise it would have been a desperate day. She did it better than we could have hoped for and she looks an interesting sort. We now have the dilemma deciding whether to go for a better bumper, i.e. Listed, or go straight over hurdles. She jumps very well and either way it’s a nice dilemma to have.

Winner of a Southwell bumper and finished third, beaten three and a quarter lengths, to Vienna Court in a maiden hurdle at Ffos Las (2m) in October.

Trainer says

She had her first run over hurdle at Ffos Las recently and was a bit too fresh and gassy and ran with her head in the air and didn’t jump that well. She did well to get as close as she did and can improve for that run.

Winner of one of his three bumpers and made an impressive start over hurdles at Southwell (2m 4 1/2f) last week when scoring by five lengths from Blackfinch.

He won his bumper first time out last season and ran well under his penalty at Southwell and Ffos Las subsequently. He made a very pleasing start over hurdles at Southwell last week and he relished the conditions. We will look forward to turning him out under a penalty in a similar sort of ordinary novice in four to six weeks time.
