Irish point-to-point winner in February 2022. Finished fourth, beaten six lengths, to Easy To Follow on her stable debut in a mares’ novices’ hurdle at Fontwell (2m 3f) in December.

Trainer says

She is a nice big strong mare - she looked like she was a stayer on her first run for a long time at Fontwell. She stayed on well and looked like winning turning in, then got outpaced before staying on again up the hill in the last 100 yards. We were quite pleased with that and she jumps well. If all goes well, she will make a nice chaser for next season but this season we are looking to run her in an EBF Qualifier at Wincanton. We should be stepping up to three miles sooner rather than later but ought to be winning her mares’ maiden and, perhaps, have a bit of improvement as she steps up to three miles and fences.

Winner of one of her three starts. Off the mark with a neck success from Don’t Rightly Know in a mares’ novice hurdle at Wincanton (2m 5½f) in December.

Trainer says

She is entered at Wincanton and has a similar profile to Ask Lileen. She has won her point-to-point and now her mares’ maiden hurdle and was fifth last time out staying on well. She would be very straightforward and jumps well and she would, tentatively, be one to aim at the Newbury EBF Final in March.

Made a winning reappearance in the Badger Beer Handicap Chase at Wincanton (3m1f) in November when beating Threeunderthrufive by three lengths off a mark of 132. Subsequently fourth, beaten five and a half lengths, to Victtorino in the Howden Silver Cup Handicap Chase at Ascot (3m) in December off a mark of 138.

Trainer says

He was a good winner of the Badger Beer and put up a good solid run in a £100,000 handicap at Ascot. He just blundered over the last and lost his pitch but kept on for fourth that day and we are building him up right now. We are probably all guns blazing for a £50,000 handicap at Sandown next Saturday. It is a good time to get him out again we have had a real good prep with him and we were in the Peter Marsh but that got abandoned. We have ticked over and ready to go. He travels very well on soft ground.

Winner of three of his 18 starts and currently rated 131. Gained his second success of the season in a handicap hurdle at Kempton (2m) in November when scoring by half a length from Amelia’s Dance off a mark of 126.

Trainer says

He has won twice since he came over from Ireland. He will probably be winning some nice handicaps the rest of the season - we think he wants goodish ground at around two miles. I am looking forward to going over fences with him and he might have a crack at going over fences for a month for the start of the new season in May. When he puts it together, he has a good way of going and travels quite nicely and definitely has plenty of ability. His half-brother (Captain Guinness) is a top-class two-mile chaser so we hope he is going to be a better chaser than he was a hurdler.

Trainer says

He has had a long break since Fontwell and we found last season he didn’t like the boggy winter ground so we have just bided our time with him. He should be out in two or three weeks’ time and we will make a plan on the back of that. He jumped really proficiently at Fontwell and 113 looks a reasonable mark. We will look for a handicap hurdle for him in February.

A winner of two handicap chase at Fontwell in November and December - beating Maasai Warrior two and a half lengths off a mark of 88 over two miles and five and half furlongs and following up with an 11-length victory from Pilot Show off a mark of 93 over three miles and two furlongs.

Trainer says

He is doing well ran well to be third at Fontwell on Sunday. He is gradually trying to come out of 0-100 but had a productive career really winning a bumper, a hurdle and two chases. He probably has a good chance of winning again and next season you could see him running off a light weight in one of those regional Nationals. We are just trying to pick up as much low hanging fruit as we can this season.

Made a winning return to hurdling when beating the odds-on Kateira six lengths in a Listed Mares’ race at Kempton (3m½f) in November. Subsequently sixth, beaten 23 lengths, to Nurse Susan in a Mares’ Handicap Hurdle at Cheltenham (2m 4½f) in December off her current mark.

Trainer says

She ran on Sunday in a Grade 2 Mares’ race over three miles at Doncaster and probably ran well given the classy opposition. She had a bit to find on rating there but has won a Listed bumper, and a Listed hurdle at Kempton this season, so we are over the moon with her. She has won us loads of races and she is a cracking mare. We will be chopping and changing between Mares’ Listed, Graded races and handicaps and we will play it by ear with her. She will go back on the Flat now and again, too.

Winner of six of her 19 starts and currently rated 132 over fences. Finished fourth, beaten 13½ lengths, to My Silver Lining in a Grade 3 Classic Handicap Chase at Warwick (3m 5f) this month off a mark of 133.

Trainer says

She is in very good order and has had a hard campaign already and been up to Haydock twice and won a valuable handicap at Wincanton. She finished fourth in the Classic Chase at Warwick and she is a plucky, superb-jumping mare. We are going to try her in the Grand National Trial at Haydock on February 17 and that will have given her five weeks.

Trainer says

He is a lovely horse with a really strong pedigree and the plan since we bought him was to try and have a crack at the Sales bumpers and be that sort of horse. He has really pleased us and he is a big, strong athletic horse. He won well on his debut at Wincanton and the plan is to run in the Sales bumper at Newbury on March 23.

Winner of one of his four starts and currently rated 121 over hurdles. Off the mark with a 11-length success in a maiden hurdle at Wincanton in December. Subsequently runner-up, beaten 14 lengths, to Tellherthename in a novice at Huntingdon (2m) this month.

Trainer says

He has a couple of options coming up and the number one plan is to run in the EBF Final at Sandown. He is qualified but needs one more run of any kind over hurdles to officially complete the qualification. He will do that at either Wincanton or Sandown next week. The Sandown race would also qualify him for a £100,000 handicap and we might go there to give him course experience.

Winner of one of his 12 starts and currently rated 93 over hurdles and fences. Off the mark in a handicap hurdle at Chepstow (2m 7½f) in November when beating Bobo Mac two and a half lengths off a mark of 86.

Trainer says

He hasn’t taken to fences very well yet and he had a nasty fall at Wincanton. He is fine now and we are going to start schooling him again next week. He was becoming progressive over hurdles and we always have that up our sleeve if we need but he should be making up to a nice chaser.

He ran very nicely on his debut in a bumper at Hereford and his plan is to go for the £100,000 Sales bumper at Newbury in March. He might have an awayday somewhere and have a gallop on the grass.

Winner of two of his seven starts and currently rated 102. Successful when last seen out in November when beating Chankaya a length and a half in a handicap hurdle at Wincanton (2m 4f) off a mark of 94.

Trainer says

I was very pleased with his win at Wincanton and he has had a few niggly issues since but I hope to get him out in February. He doesn’t want it too soft and will be an interesting horse over fences next season. He has always been quite buzzy but he settled nicely at Wincanton and he should still do well over hurdles.

Trainer says

She finished fifth the other day at Newbury and fourth at Kempton and second at Chepstow this season with one iffy run in between. She is a good strong staying mare and she is one to run off a light weight over a really stiff three miles.

Winner of four of his 16 starts and currently rated 129 over fences. Returned to winning form with a length and a half defeat of Mister Coffey in a handicap chase at Doncaster (3m) in December off a mark of 125.

Trainer says

I am very happy with him and whether he blew up or not in the Badger Beer or whether the ground was too soft that day but he didn’t finish his race off. He has been a cracking horse for his owners and really stepped up when we ran him in these better races last season and this. That put him spot on for Doncaster and he won a £50,000 race quite nicely. He quickened to the front quite easily and there were no jumps up the straight. He ran a cracker in the Great Yorkshire Handicap Chase on Saturday, finishing well, only beaten a nose.

Winner of three of his 11 starts and currently rated 115 over fences. Finished third, beaten 22 lengths, to Sacre Coeur in a handicap chase at Ludlow (2m) in December off a mark of 117.

Trainer says

He progressed really well having gone chasing and won three in a row. He ran fine but was probably over the top when putting in a lesser effort at Bangor. We thought he could progress off his mark of 115 and he went and won a £50,000 handicap at Doncaster on Saturday. Given he was 7lb out of the handicap and running off 122, we weren’t wrong, although Ben Godfrey’s 3lb claim helped.

Winner of four of her 17 starts and currently rated 117 over hurdles. Finished fourth, beaten seven lengths, to Jay Jay Reilly in the Lanzarote handicap hurdle at Kempton (2m 5f) in January off her current mark.

Trainer says

She has had a fantastic season and won at Wincanton, ran well at Cheltenham when running third and then she went and finished fourth in the Lanzarote and stayed on really well. We don’t know what we are going to do now but she has a possible entry in a £100,000 three-mile handicap at Sandown next weekend.

Trainer says

He has picked up some good prize money this season and I suppose he is probably now in the category of being badly handicapped where he is - we just need to drop on one really. He handles any ground and any trip and at the moment his ideal is around two and a half to two mile five on heavy ground.

Winner of four of his nine starts and currently rated 142 over fences. Has finished third in three races over fences this season and beaten 14½ lengths by Il Est Francais in the Grade 1 Kauto Star Novices’ Chase at Kempton (3m) on Boxing Day.

Trainer says

He finished third in the Grade 1 Kauto Star last time and ran a real solid race. He was right in the mix turning in and now goes for the Reynoldstown at Ascot on February 17. If he doesn’t go in that he might run in the £100,000 handicap on the same day at Ascot. We may continue flying high for the rest of the season and if nothing else he could remain a novice for next season.

Winner of three of her 21 starts and currently rated 114 over fences. Finished fourth beaten 21 lengths, to Pink Legend in Mares’ Listed Chase at Newbury (2m 7½f) in December.

Trainer says

She is probably just coming back into her own now and is going back to Carlisle on February 5. She won it last year - a two miles and five Mares’ Handicap Chase, a 0-130. She actually ran well at Newbury and she can jump a bit in and out and has her own way of doing it. It was a really strong run and she has had a nice break. Hopefully, she can go back to Carlisle and win that race again and then I have to see if the owners will let me take her back to Punchestown if she wins at Carlisle.

Trainer says

He is a big solid horse who should only improve. He took a big step forward from the first to the second bumper and ran a really good race behind a horse that cost Paul Nicholls a lot of money. He was no match for the winner but he could have one more run in a bumper and go novice hurdling next season.

Winner of three of his nine starts and currently rated 120 over hurdles. Winner of both of his starts this term scoring by two and a half lengths from Aldsworth in a handicap hurdle at Hereford (3m 1½f) in November off a mark of 109 and following up over the same course and distance in December when beating Slip Road 12 lengths of a mark of 113.

Trainer says

He got his jumping a bit better together last time and has won both his starts at Hereford. He is a real good galloper who likes decent ground. Jumping has always been the issue with him but he took a real step forward last time and hopefully he can continue to do so - he could end up in a Pertemps Qualifier.

Trainer says

He is a really well-bred horse and is a Walk In The Park and a half-brother to Special Tiara. He ran a really good race at Wincanton and finished third having looked in trouble a long way out. He got the hang of it and finished well. He is entered in the Sales bumper in Ireland and if that is too unrealistic, we will see but I have left him in for now. He might try and have another bumper run between now and then.

Trainer says

It would be easy to look at her win in a 17-runner juvenile fillies’ bumper at Newbury and say we don’t know how that will work out and they sometimes can be not the greatest of races, but I loved the way she did it. She did it like a proper stayer and had a great attitude throughout the race. She would still have been a touch green and we are looking to run her on February 6 at Market Rasen in a Listed Mares’ bumper. She has come out of the race lovely and fresh and she is also in the Irish Sales bumper as well.

Winner of seven of his 22 starts and currently rated 152 over fences. Returned to winning form in a Veterans’ Series Final at Warwick (3m) this month when scoring by two and three quarter lengths from Aye Right over a mark of 147.

Trainer says

He has come out of his Warwick race really well and is ready to go. He is entered for the Haydock Grand National Trial and we will probably go for that as long as the ground is reasonable over three and a half miles. Good (good to soft) would be perfect. If you can keep him interested and keep him jumping, he has a real good finish in him.

Trainer says

He has a lovely profile and has won two bumpers and two hurdle races and been placed twice from six runs and been very good. He had a long-term tendon strain and last season we came back and then he went wrong again. We gave him a full year off and he has another month’s graft to do but if he comes back good he will be a very interesting horse in handicaps.
