Verdict

Having looked a smart prospect when making a winning debut at Newbury, THAT'S AMORE was far from disgraced when finishing fourth in last year's Cheshire Oaks. The four-year-old makes plenty of appeal in these calmer waters and is taken to make a winning return, at the main expense of Jupiter Ammon. Andrew Balding's gelding has some respectable handicap form to his name and a current rating of 82 suggests he shouldn't be far away. Laravie is most compelling of the others.

Expert View Verdict

THAT'S AMORE has a class edge on her rivals here. The debut winner was last seen finishing midfield in the Cheshire Oaks behind a rival who went on to win at Epsom next time. That sets a clear standard and she should be able to overcome the long absence. Her main rival Jupiter Ammon is also returning from a break having shown a consistent level of form and willing attitude in handicaps last summer. He can fill the places with Roadlesstravelled who was a Grade 2 winner over hurdles but is unlikely to be suited by the slight drop in trip.
