Verdict

ROARING RALPH gained compensation for two runner-up efforts at this venue when landing the spoils over C&D last time out. The six-year-old scored with enough in hand to suggest that a 3lb higher mark is surmountable and he edges the vote over Samra Star. Linda Perratt's mare has been nudged up just 2lb for her recent Wolverhampton victory and another bold bid is forecast. Asian Journey is the pick of the remainder.

Expert View Verdict

ROARING RALPH snapped a long losing run over C&D last time and remains well treated on his old form despite 3lb rise. He has a good strike rate over 1m and is fancied to continue it at the expense of inconsistent course specialist Heretic who has dropped to his last winning mark. Samra Star was given a fine ride when winning last time and has only gone up 2lb so should also be on the premises.
