Stacey's Tune has a proud record to uphold as her dam has a 100 per cent strike rate with her starters to date while Bit Hasty has the assistance of hot jock Adolfo Morales. In the absence of any other evidence about these newcomers, however, it could pay to side with RIVER LANE, who looked sharp in a four-furlong workout last week, and hails from the high-scoring barn of Kevin Lewis.
Jockey Kyle Kaenel is in sparkling form at present and his mount here, Cloudy Money, could go close. Papa's Got Gin is a speedy sort with claims but preference is for TURNOUTTHELITES, who has clocked the best time over today's trip among these and has the advantage of a favoured rails draw.
Red Mimi has the best turf speed among today's starters and has clocked the fastest time over today's trip but has a tough outside draw to overcome. Dancing Fruition has a favoured inside draw and should improve for returning to turf but is likely to find one too good in FOOL'S MATE, who won a similar race on turf here a shade cosily and looks capable of following up today.
Several of these won last time out and look improving sorts but the pick appears to be IZA REDHEAD who won in a driving finish over C&D last time. He's clocked the best time among these over today's trip and impressed in a sharp four-furlong workout last week. Bucks Away has lots of early pace and could go well but hasn't raced for more than a year and Pepper Dan, an easy winner last time, makes more appeal.
This is contested by non-winners of two races which makes it a tricky affair for punters as none of these can be trusted to produce their best. Recent maiden winners include Crafty Connection and Straw Hat Charlie but the least exposed is JONATHON G who may be capable of better stepping up to a route for the first time on only his fifth start.
