A first-time visor may prompt improvement from Lexi's Prince, although he will need to see out his race better than when fifth at Haydock last time. Cataract is entitled to build upon her C&D debut fourth last month and has place possibilities.
Ingleby Angel couldn't justify the strength behind him in the market on debut but shaped with promise in second and can go one better here. First-time-visored Lexi's Prince could be the one for the forecast.

ALENSGROVE ran her best race to date over this trip on fast ground at Beverley on her penultimate start and although she was well held when upped to a mile last time, she may fare better now returned to 7f. Atyaab showed glimpses of ability in Ireland last term - enough to think she could make an impact here on her seasonal bow and first start for Alan Swinbank if returning at her best. American Lover looks the sort who will benefit from the switch to handicaps but is respected in this grade nevertheless.
This can go the way of Alensgrove, whose second on her penultimate outing reads quite well in the context of this race. Atyaab has claims on the pick of her Irish form, while American Lover is improving with experience and can reach the frame.

SOVEREIGN STREET has shown enough in three maiden starts to date, including when third over 6f here in October, to think she can make her mark in handicaps off this moderate opening rating. The selection's fitness does have to be taken on trust though and Ryedale Dancer should give her plenty to think about. The last-named performed credibly off 2lb lower on her handicap debut at Carlisle last time and remains weighted to go well. Fleurie Lover looked in need of further when second over 6f here last time and is another to consider, racing off the same mark.
Ryedale Dancer improved when second on her handicap debut at Carlisle and can go one better with further progress likely. Fleurie Lover and Reason To Believe are others to consider.

Marcus Tregoning brings Boom And Bust up from Berkshire as his only runner on the card and thus he warrants respect. However, it might be worth siding with the well handicapped COLLATERAL DAMAGE, who has dropped 11lb since finishing sixth behind Kiwi Bay in this race twelve months ago and hinted a return to winning ways was imminent when third at Catterick when last sighted. Just Bond is holding his form well and although a 4lb rise for his recent Beverley success demands a career best now, minor money may still be within his grasp.
Plenty of the usual faces who go well here and have taken each other on a number of times. San Cassiano will be popular after bouncing back to form at Doncaster last week, but Collateral Damage looked on the way back last time and could be the one to side with. Boom And Bust is another to make the shortlist.

PINT SIZE is drinking in the last chance saloon after two recent near misses in selling grade but is given one more opportunity now encountering quicker ground, under a trainer whose runner's always deserve respect when operating at plating level. The step up to this longer trip may assist Latte, who looked one-paced when plugging on into fifth over 5f here earlier in the season although Mad For Fun probably poses the biggest threat, having turned in a career-best when third behind the selection in a Thirsk seller last month.
Pint Size looks all speed so the return to 6f is a slight concern but he's the clear pick on form. Mad For Fun and Latte seem best of the rest.
