Golden Success certainly won't lack experience but he still failed to make the frame when dropped to this grade last time, so KAREN'S SAINT gets the vote. Michael Trombetta's colt went very close on his debut before struggling over shorter last time and this step up in trip could help. Cash Sale has shown promise in his workouts and could be the pick of the newcomers.
Nanseeyouin Heaven completed a hat-trick with victory over this track and trip last time but she could come unstuck against the class-dropping TURNING SOUTH. Carlos Soto's mare faded out of it in a $16k race last time and this should prove easier. Third Time Lucky eased to victory here last time and is another for the shortlist.
TOO FUNNY had Trip Angel behind when second on her penultimate start and having finished even closer when filling the runner-up spot last time, she is taken to go one better and score here. Silver Uno should be open to improvement after just two outings to date, while Kiwi Mistress is also a veteran of just two runs, but has a bit to find with Trip Angel on recent form.
Bellhouse has been plying his trade in slightly better company so far and has to be given a chance after his recent second, but it was hard not to be impressed with BOW BELL REEF'S commanding success at Mountaineer last time and he may follow up here. Monmouth third Macho Mo Mon and course third Lost Fortune are dangers too.
HIGH TOP SNEAKERS was denied by the narrowest of margins on her first start at this track last time and a similar effort could suffice here. The coupled pair, End Zone Antics and Rumack, warrant respect, while Faulty Process has bits and pieces of form to suggest she can make her presence felt.
CHEOPS made a favourable impression on his debut, finishing strongly to take second, and with improvement likely, he looks the one to be on. Romp City didn't really progress from his debut outing when third over track and trip last time and may need a bit further, while The Caller finished well for second over slightly shorter at Laurel but this is tougher.
Asfatewouldhaveit had Uniquely behind when second over a furlong shorter last time and he should be capable of confirming those placings, while Mad Tunes and Gunpowder Creek are closely matched on recent running, with Lloyd Palmer's charge just winning out last time. GRECIAN PEGASUS takes a step up in class here, but the way he finished over six furlongs last time suggests he'll improve for the return to this sort of trip.
Just a head separated STAND PROUD from a richly-deserved victory last time and Keith LeBarron's consistent gelding can finally gain his reward tonight. Arlo wasn't too far away in third last time, but he finished behind Cantona on that occasion and the Benchmark gelding could confirm his superiority.
Radio Row finished well to pass Many Crows en route a second-placed finish last time, while Stake Out's finish was timed much better when he emerged successful over slightly further. Pull looks likely to take them along at a good pace as he made virtually all to score last time, but preference is for MY ITALIAN EX, who may have had the race run to suit here last month, but the manner of that success bodes well for this contest.
