Oligopolist and Wayward Will have gone close in similar contests recently but MR. GOT ROCKS has just been pipped in this grade over this trip in his last two starts, form that should see him land this contest.
Northern Blue was second in this grade last time and has serious claims tonight. He makes more appeal than Lover Nekia, who hasn't really built on a $5k claiming success four starts ago, but preference is for ORACLE OF OMAHA, winner of a $30k claimer at Gulfstream a year ago. He's continued to run well in similar contests and should prove far too good here dropped in class.
PIZZA JOHNNY W didn't appear to get home when finishing third over six and a half furlongs here last month and can regain the winning thread now dropped in trip. Froggy won in gritty fashion here last time out and is unlikely to go down without a fight, while I'm Ok is another that cannot be easily dismissed.
VERY BLESSED stayed on strongly when finishing second over six and a half furlongs at Charles Town last time out and, with this step up in trip likely to suit, she is well fancied to go one better tonight. Partido De Playa is entitled to strip fitter for her debut third and rates the biggest threat, while Giant's Sister could be another worth noting.
SOUND JUDGEMENT tired in the closing stages when finishing second over six and a half furlongs here earlier this month and can get back on the winning trail now dropped in trip. Premium Saltine finished behind the selection on his latest outing and may have to play second fiddle again, with El Campo also holding place claims.
SPENCER'S GIFT stepped up on a couple of sound efforts when scoring readily here earlier this month and, with that confidence booster under his belt, he should follow up tonight. Longhorn finished third at Fair Grounds last time out and could pose the main danger, while Latin Sailor is another worthy of consideration.
GOLD STONES was far from disgraced when finishing fifth here earlier this month and, with much less on her plate tonight, she could prove a cut above these rivals. Lillians Choice finished a second here last time out and is likely to have her say in this, while Sweetamygee is another that warrants respect.
THREESIXTYSECURITY stayed on powerfully when landing the spoils over five and a half furlongs here last month and, with this step up in trip not a concern, he is strongly fancied to land the double this evening. Doesn't Lie is entitled to go close if leaving his recent disappointment firmly behind, while Cat On The Line is another in with a squeak.
BANJO PICKER bounced back to winning ways with a gutsy success around here last month and looks sure to take all the beating on his bid to follow up tonight. Power By Leigh was behind the selection on his latest outing and looks set to scrap it out for the silver medal, along with the Kiaran McLaughlin-trained, Pass The Punch.
VICTORY AT SHILOH was by no means disgraced when finishing fourth at Calder earlier this month and, with a slightly easier task ahead of him tonight, he could prove far to strong for these rivals. Roseandasong finished second here last time out and is likely to give a good account in this, while Addicted To Wealth may prove best of the rest.
