TY'S RIDGE failed to land the odds over track and trip earlier this month but he wasn't disgraced and his previous couple of efforts read well in this company. Nine Positives signalled a return to form when third here last time, while Trickanometry's best form puts him in the picture.
Gary Contessa's duo, Fiery Inferno and Ease And Comfort, could be capable of better than they've demonstrated so far, but the one that makes most appeal is EIGHTYFIVE S, who has made strides with every outing and looks ready to shed her maiden tag. E. Judith's penultimate effort also puts her in the picture.
GLOWING IMAGE had Dump It And Run behind when leading from pillar to post to win in this company over track and trip last time and he is taken to confirm that form and follow up tonight. Recent winner Drift King rates best of the rest.
BLIZZARD CITY sets the standard here having finished a good second over track and trip last time. He is fancied to open his account. Gold Deputy is respected on the back of the strong market support he attracted when finishing fifth on debut, while Pygmalion, second last time, could fare best of the rest.
This represents a big drop in class for GO FERNANDO GO and although not at his very best of late, he could prove too strong for these rivals. My Husband is also downgraded and can't be dismissed, with Dynergy and Commander Matt also entitled to reach the frame.
An open-looking contest can go the way of FREEDOM ISNT FREE who has been knocking on the door of late and is taken to gain a much-deserved return to the winner's enclosure tonight. There shouldn't be much between these contestants with the likes of Tahoe Warrior and Legends Way also respected.
GOLD AND BLUE BOX stepped up on his previous couple of efforts when fourth in a similar race to this earlier in the month and, with the barn in such good form, it would be no surprise to see him build on that more encouraging performance with victory tonight. Sal The Pal and Chernobyl's Hero are expected to provide the stiffest opposition.
CITY ATTRACTION hasn't failed to finish in the first three in his six latest starts and he appears to have every chance on the evidence of last month's Grade 3 victory over this track and trip (Debussy back in third). Leo has been running consistently well and could go close, but Man Of Danger is considered the principal threat to the selection.
READY READ was below par when a disappointing favourite last time. However, his form previous to that was good and if back to his best, he could be the one to be on. Mass Charles has form to tie in with the selection while Fregata is another who has to be respected.
