Winner of a $15k allowance race here three starts ago and third in better company over five and a half furlongs at this track last time, LOVE FEST should take all the beating here. Indigo Queen, fourth in the latter contest, should be thereabouts again while Naughtylilhottie is not the most reliable but can't be ruled out on her best form.
Miss Lola La Dare and Queen Charisma have gone close in this grade but neither can be relied on and a better bet could be the more consistent and highly-tried VINLEAR. Winner of a $12.5k claimer two starts ago when dropped in class, she just failed to hold on in a similar race over 6f here last time. This shorter trip should enable her to go one better.
Firebrite has gone close several times in this grade but is staring to look exposed now while Hey Duke has something to find despite finishing second twice in similar contests. GOOD BAD BOY has also had plenty of chances but he is taking a big drop in class tonight and might be worth sticking with one more time.
Franny B and Sloshed were second and third in a slightly weaker contest over five and a half furlongs here last time and should be thereabouts tonight but preference is for BEAU'S VALENTINE, who, after romping away with a $5k maiden claimer on his penultimate start, scored in this grade here last time out. She should have little trouble completing her hat trick.
I'll Fight You and Gray Spirit look a couple of useful newcomers who could run good races here while Buck's Blush has been pretty consistent but has more on his plate tonight. GLOBAL AFFAIR faded out of it last time here but was a close second in a better contest before that and can take this if reproducing that form.
Slew The Chief was second in this grade last time but a fair way back and has something to find here. Cruisin The Waves has hit form of late, scoring comfortably in a $5k maiden claimer over C&D last time. But DE WIZ won a similar contest here latest on only his second start. Less exposed than his rivals, he can improve enough for the run to land this.
Fastwell has been knocking on the door lately and should not be too far away when the medals are handed out but this represents a sharp drop in class for BARCLAY DRIVE and Keith Bennett's charge should be good enough to land the spoils in a contest of this nature. Dontbenchme, placed in a better heat here last time, rates next best.
The prolific TRAIL THIS made short work of his rivals when obliging here last time and is taken to record his eighth success from just thirteen career outings. Ducky Drake had to settle for second best on that occasion and a similar fate might await him today. King Justin advertised his current well being with a victory here last month and it would be no surprise to see him on the premises.
Sweetseptembersong drops in class and cannot be dismissed with confidence, while Moonstrider improved upon her debut run when placed here latest and looks capable of getting involved. Preference, however, is for HIDDEN MIST who showed promise when fourth on her debut here earlier this month and might have finished closer but for her rider dropping his whip.
