A number of interesting newcomers coupled with a host of potential improvers make this one for the recorder rather than a betting medium. Sir Michael Stoute introduces the well bred pair of Cantal and Mariposa while Epoque makes her racecourse debut for Sir Henry Cecil. Seaside Escape can be expected to improve from her recent debut effort with similar sentiments applying to Banu Wu but given John Gosden's strong record in this race, slight preference is for GATHERING who travelled well for a long way when sent off favourite for a maiden on the July course on debut. She seems sure to be more streetwise today and her stable has hit a rich vein of form of late.
Bana Wu shaped nicely on her debut and the step up to 1m should bring about plenty of improvement. She is marginally preferred to Gathering, with Epoque looking most interesting of the newcomers.

A disappointing turnout given the money on offer and only a tentative vote goes the way of KYANIGHT, who left a favourable impression when making a winning debut at Sandown last month. Well held when stepped up to Listed company subsequently, she remains capable of better than shown there and looks ready for this step up to 6f. Lemon Rock ran well in a similar event on the July course three weeks ago and should do so again with Silver Marizah respected having put it up to to some promising types on her Lingfield debut.
Richard Hannon has a good record in the big sales races and he saddles the pair with the strongest form in the shape of Glee and Roedean. Both are dropping back in trip but are still put forward in that order. The unexposed Kyanight may prove best of the rest.

Mehdi plundered a similarly big prize on the July course last month and must be considered again having been far from disgraced in a hot event at Doncaster last week. Balty Boys has a bit to find with the aforementioned contender on their Newmarket running but he didn't enjoy the clearest of passages that day and still looks to be improving. Coup De Ville is sure to prove popular following his recent Salisbury Listed success and he actually had the beating of Mehdi in a maiden back in June, albeit off level weights. Irish maiden Alkazim could be worth considering but the unbeaten TIDENTIME looks a useful colt in the making and a strongly run race here should play right into his hands.
Coupe de Ville continues to leave the impression he has more in the locker and he can land this valuable prize for Richard Hannon. Jubilance and the unbeaten Tidentime could prove best of the rest.

Oneladyowner didn't enjoy the best of runs at Goodwood last time and looks capable of winning more races off his present mark but marginal preference is for the improving three-year-old CAPE CLASSIC, who scored on his return to handicaps at Ffos Las last month and hasn't been hit hard with a 3lb rise.
