MAJESTIC MANNER improved on her 6f debut third at Windsor when opening her account over this trip at Lingfield last month and should have more to offer now moving into handicap company. William Haggas' charge is a half-sister to a Listed winner and an opening mark of 82 is likely to prove within her capabilities. Pulcinella landed a maiden at Lingfield and has to be respected, but perhaps a bigger danger could be Conjuring, who was not disgraced over C&D last time and a 2lb drop for that could be helpful.

Top Tip: Majestic Manner (4)
Watch out for: Conjuring (15)

Majestic Manner made all in a fairly modest time at Lingfield on her second start, but that rather masks her potential, and given the runner-up has scored since, she remains one to be very interested in entering nurseries. Mystic Jade and Deep Blue Sea are feared most.

STRATH BURN sets the standard on his half-length second to Kool Kompany in the Prix Robert Papin at Maisons-Laffitte over the summer. Charlie Hills' colt was snatched up after a furlong on his latest outing at Newbury and although he let favourite backers down on that occasion, he's worth another chance now reverting to the minimum distance. Swedish raider Volatile is worth a market check after destroying five rivals by over 16 lengths on dirt on debut. However, recent Ayr third Squats and Moonraker, who was beaten by under four lengths when seventh in the Flying Childers, are feared most.

The unbeaten Ivawood sets the form standard having built on his July Stakes victory over Jungle Cat (second) and Muhaarar (third) when landing the Richmond Stakes with plenty in hand at Glorious Goodwood. However, Richard Hannon's speedster is yet to encounter ground slower than good, so his ability to handle the forecast conditions has to be taken on trust. A chance is therefore taken on recent Tower Stakes winner CAPPELLA SANSEVERO, who has form in the mud in Ireland from earlier this year and was touched off by just half a length when third behind Kool Kompany (second) in the Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh, underlining his Group 1 credentials. Reopposing the last-named on slower ground, Ger Lyons' colt could feasibly reverse the tight placings.

Watch out for: Ivawood (3)

Ivawood is justifiably a warm order and can provide the Richard Hannon team a belated first success in this Group 1. Gimcrack-winner Muhaarar is likely to be on the premises once more, and the testing conditions should bring Cappella Sansevero and Kool Kompany into calculations.

May Hill Stakes winner Agnes Stewart kept on strongly to score on her first run over a mile last time and should be thereabouts if taking to the forecast slower ground. The Edward Lynam inmate is French bred, so that is entirely possible, though MARSH HAWK shades the vote, having sluiced up by seven lengths on soft ground when scoring on debut here on the July course. Richard Hannon's charge stayed on strongly when making all in a 7f conditions event at Newbury last time and is expected to improve for this stiffer test. Rockfel Stakes heroine Lucida also steps up in trip and makes strong appeal.

Loads of progressive fillies line up, as to be expected, including Rockfel-winner Lucida, whose form from the Moyglare Stud Stakes the time before looks really strong and makes her the one to beat. The likes of Sir Percy, New Approach and Frankel have all been successful in this race in the last decade and ESTIDHKAAR is expected to join the prestigious roll of honour. Richard Hannon's charge followed up his Superlative Stakes victory by landing the Group 2 Champagne Stakes over the same trip at Doncaster last time and sets the standard for the rest of the field to aim at. The main danger may be Ballydoyle inmate Smuggler's Cove, who landed a Listed race by seven lengths at Dundalk when last sighted. Maftool continues on an upward curve and is another to consider on the back of his C&D victory in the Tattersall Stakes.

THAWAANY loves to get her toe in and having finishing a half-length second to Garswood in the Prix Maurice de Gheest on bottomless ground when last sighted in August, she makes standout appeal now dropping into Group 2 company. Freddie Head's French raider is a Listed winner on soft ground over 1m in her homeland and could be staying on strongly at the finish when others have waved the white flag. Al Thakhira landed a soft-ground Listed contest at Ascot when last sighted and can battle it out with penalised Hungerford Stakes winner Breton Rock for the silver medal.
