Dual bumper winner UTOPIAN was turned over at odds-on at Folkestone last time but even a reproduction of that effort would give him every chance this afternoon. The Stout Italian has shown some promise in bumpers and he is an interesting contender on his hurdling debut. Titus Mills was rated in the 100s on the Flat when with Brian Meehan this time last year and he is worth a second glance on his hurdles bow for Tim Vaughan.

Top Tip: Utopian (11)
Watch out for: The Stout Italian (8)

Utopian's Folkestone second very much sets the standard and he's taken to go one better, though useful Flat performer Titus Mills would be a danger if his stamina holds now trying his luck hurdling. The Stout Italian showed fair form on all 3 starts in bumpers and makes most appeal of the remainder.

A dual point-to-point winner, he has shown glimmers of promise in his three runs over hurdles and an opening mark of 110 could be within his capabilities. The Fox's Decree has each-way prospects once more and Go Annie must be respected on the form of her Uttoxeter second last time. Black Is Beautiful could also make his presence felt.

Last Shot was disappointing here last time but his previous form gives him solid claims. Another Trump is back on a fair mark and he is respected, along with Tarkari, who is nicely treated on his best hurdles form. However, slight preference is for Evan Williams' other representative, DARCEYS DANCER. He has struggled since joining his current yard but he has dropped a long way in the weights and he might be able to get competitive now.

Ultimate posted a fine effort in defeat at Musselburgh last week and that form gives him a big chance here. Drussell is on a hat-trick of C&D wins and he has to be on the shortlist, with Dreambrook Lady and Rowlestone Lad also considered. THEGAYGARDENER had some solid form in novice hurdles last summer and if he acts with cut in the ground, he can give a good account on his handicap debut here.

Tin Pot Man has been raised 5lb for his Ffos Las success last month but he looks sure to be on the premises nonetheless. One More Dinar likes it here but an 8lb rise for his C&D win last time makes life tougher. The progressive Jupiter Rex has obvious claims and Pliny is worth a second glance, but POWER PACK JACK gets the nod. He goes well fresh and he is now 5lb lower than his last winning mark.

Bermuda Boy finished runner-up in a hunters' chase over this C&D earlier this month and he is sure to prove popular today, but slight preference is for BAI ZHU. He might not be the force of old but he was a very capable performer for Nicky Henderson a few seasons back and he could be a force to be reckoned with on his hunters' chase debut. Martys Mission and Coin Of The Realm also command respect.
