MARCHER LORD was supported when winning on Navan debut and is out of a winning dam whose half-brother was high-class miler Alexandros. He steps up in grade, dropping back a furlong, but has a good draw in 2 and should improve. Pretty Rebel has solid recent form, likes easy ground and is ideally suited by race conditions as the mare receives plenty of weight. She is rated 100 and is again ridden by a 7lb claimer, but is vulnerable to smart types. Maud Gonne Spirit hasn't run for 335 days but being a soft-ground mare, connections will target an autumn campaign and she should run well. Self Belief was smart in winning a Curragh maiden on debut (Lecale's Destiny was fifth), with the runner-up later winning at Listed level and the fourth, fifth and sixth-placed horses also winning subsequently. However she hasn't run since June and, notably, is second string on jockey bookings. Massaman had been in good form prior to last month's Curragh disappointment.

HIPPODROME has a poor draw in 13 but is well bred and showed promise on debut. A 650,000gns yearling, he is by Galileo and out of a dual classic-placed mare, and while well held at the Curragh, stayed well to the line and improvement can be expected. Stablemate Covent Garden has just under four lengths to find with the selection on Curragh form but progression is also very likely, being a brother to five Group winners. Mister Mister showed promise on Killarney debut and while fractionally disappointing here last month, should be suited by softer ground today, being by Sea The Moon. Long Count and Pigeon House are closely matched on recent Cork form, although the latter looks more progressive and is likely to reverse that form.

GALLERIA BORGHESE ran well when third in Sunday's Blandford Stakes. The winner of a similar race at Naas in June, she was probably unsuited to dropping in distance at Tipperary in August but a reproduction of her Curragh run would give her every chance, drawn well in 3. Kawida and Tranquil Lady were separated by a nose, when finishing fifth and sixth respectively, in the Epsom Oaks. Tranquil Lady, who carries a 3lb penalty, hasn't run since disappointing in the Pretty Polly Stakes and while suited by soft, runs in a first-time tongue-tie and has a poor draw in 17. Kawida has the inside draw but after Epsom, was well held twice subsequently, including at Deauville last month.
