Few of these have seen a racecourse in public but MAXIE'S NIMBLEFEET has put in two good efforts, going down a neck over C&D in a slightly better race last time out. With further improvement expected, she is expected to go one better tonight. Volant Jamie showed up well on her debut at Suffolk Downs and could be the one for the exacta while newcomer Saucon Smartie could go well.
Warren Bluffet and Gogo Baby were second and third in a similar contest last time out and should be thereabouts tonight but it should pay to side with the lightly-raced SIXBURGH. After scoring over 6f here on his debut, he's failed to trouble the judge in three subsequent starts but takes a big drop in class tonight and can get back to winning ways.
Hard to rule any of these out but preference is for BEHAVE, winner of a $5k claimer at Philadelphia two starts ago and a close third at Penn last time in tougher company. She tackles this trip for the first time but has been running as if a test of stamina would suit. The danger looks to be Issues Echo, easy winner of a $5k claimer here last time but Als Big Girl can't be ruled out.
CLASSIC WILDCAT found his stamina stretched when runner-up over 7f at Laurel Park earlier this month and is taken to go one better now returned to sprinting. The main danger looks to be the eased-in-grade Holy Dreamer although Crafty Bear also merits consideration.
Half of the six-strong field lack racecourse experience and it could pay to side with ANCIENT ROME, who left a favourable impression when runner-up on debut over 6f here last month. Fast Lane Lane showed promise when also grabbing second over 6f last time and is feared most. Restructuring Plan looks the pick of the newcomers.
SINGLE MALT GIRL wasn't fazed by the drop back from a mile when second over C&D latest and should go close if building upon that effort. The main danger appears to be Is That Blue, third over an inadequate trip here last time, while Avie Atress, who landed minor money behind the selection when last sighted, is another to consider.
KRATISTO comfortably landed a richer prize over track and trip last time and he will prove difficult to beat if in the same mood this evening. Ninth Client was only 1 1/4-lengths behind the selection that day and should give another good account, while Cutter is respected after his comfortable win at Philadelphia.
It's impossible to look past TRI SILKIE SANDS in this. She didn't have to come out of second gear to land a Grade 2 contest here last time and will take some stopping if in the same mood tonight. Spin Doctor and Ovour The Top can scrap it out for second place.
SMOKETTE PS has displayed a fair level of ability in both starts thus far over 6f and, likely to benefit from dropping down in trip tonight, she could make it third time lucky. Time And Chance, placed in four of his seven starts to date, rates the biggest threat while Annies Got Agun Lzp looks best of the remainder.
