BEABUS JACK made a promising introduction when fourth over 2m2f at Sligo last month and, with improvement expected, he could be worth siding with in what looks an open contest. Although sent off at 50-1, there didn't appear to be any fluke about Dreaming On's runner-up finish over C&D last time and she ought to go close if in the same mood tonight, while Cuteasafox and Stormy Oscar are others worthy of consideration.

A few look to have chances here and handicap debutant MAZAGEE receives what is only a tentative vote. The four-year-old has improved in each of her three maiden hurdle starts and doesn't look badly treated off an opening mark of 108. In a race that probably won't take a great deal of winning, marginal preference is for the in-form MOUNT SION. Although it was only a hunters' chase that he won at Downpatrick 10 days ago, it does at least show he's in good heart and another forceful ride could pay off this evening. Lusiad remains a maiden from 18 NH starts but ought to go close if in the same mood as when fourth at Punchestown last time, while Torre Del Greco could run well off a light weight.

MAGIC SPEAR looks to have a cracking chance. The Colm Murphy-trained gelding shaped encouragingly in a couple of testing-ground bumpers earlier this year and is expected to improve for the forecast quicker surface tonight. RETURN SPRING caught the eye when a staying-on third in a Punchestown bumper last month and, with that debut outing now under his belt, he could prove extremely difficult to beat. Celtic Cub is clearly a lot better than showing at Limerick the last day and should be given another chance, while Fairy Catcher makes his racecourse debut for the well respected John Kiely stable and looks worthy of a place on the shortlist.
