COUGAR RIDGE is taken to get punters off to the best possible start having looked the real deal on similar ground at Leopardstown on his racecourse debut last month. Back-to-back victories looks the most likely outcome for David Wachman's charge. Versilia Gal arrives in good heart and can use her experience to her advantage, while it would be no surprise to see Tennessee Wildcat show up well having finished third to Dawn Approach in a Listed race at Naas.
It will be very interesting to see how George Vancouver figures in the market here but the percentage call is to side with Cougar Ridge. Katchy Lady may prove best of the rest.

ALLEGRA TAK returns to the scene of her most recent success and, on the back of another creditable performance under a 5lb penalty at the Curragh five days ago, she is worth another chance. The handicapper has handed the daughter of Invincible Spirit a mark of 83 on the back of two solid performances on easy ground but Harry Rogers has booked a 7lb claimer to ride and she is drawn handily. Luisant arrives in good heart and hinted that this step up in trip would suit here last time, while the consistent Footprint is another to take seriously.
If Battleroftheboyne can reproduce the form which saw him finish second at the Curragh last time then he should go very close here, but consistency isn't one of his strong suits so the vote goes to Luisant who ran really well at this track last time. Allegra Tak should go well again.

Sophies Echo is expected to appreciate a drop in class but was well beaten by the reopposing STRAIT OF ZANZIBAR in a Listed event at Tipperary in August last year and there is little to suggest that form can be reversed. Ken Condon's charge went on to finish within nine lengths of Power in the Group 1 National Stakes as a juvenile and that piece of form is the best on offer. The 90-rated son of Arch sets the standard and has been competing at Listed level more recently. Top Man Michael rates best of the rest.
Strait of Zanzibar has his sights lowered here somewhat, but conceding 19 lbs to Sophies Echo may prove beyond him, therefore the filly is preferred.

ENCRYPTED MESSAGE caught the eye when staying on well at Roscommon on his racecourse debut last month and, on breeding alone, the son of Dansili is expected to get every yard of this trip. Easier ground should hold no fears and improvement is expected. Nashville failed to set the world alight on his first start at Naas, but the son of Galileo can't be written off at this stage, a comment that also applies to the improving pair, Edge Of Sanity and King's Warrant.
Nashville was doing his best work at the finish on his debut at Naas last time and is taken to account for Encrypted Message. Edge of Sanity and King's Warrant can battle it out for third.

AMOUR FOU makes her seasonal reappearance off a 2lb higher mark than when scoring over this C&D in October and the booking of Johnny Murtagh suggests she'll be fully wound up for the occasion. There is every chance she'll be bounced out and ridden prominently in an attempt to bag the rail. Statue Of Dreams is no stranger to success here and couldn't be better positioned in stall one, while Thats A Fret warrants also close consideration.
Little Village should go well here having not enjoyed the clearest of runs at the Curragh last time, but narrow preference is for Statue of Dreams who goes well at this track and has been given a real chance by the handicapper. Thats A Fret and Amour Fou are others for the shortlist.

LOVERS PEACE is expected to be on offer at a generous price but has every chance off her current mark under a 7lb claimer and, while rated considerably higher these days, she does boast winning C&D form. Noble Call can also make the frame.
Beau Michael and Lady Bennett have obvious claims here but it can pay to side with Redera who looks really well handicapped on his hurdles form.

Stocktons Wing finally broke his duck over this trip at Listowel on rain-affected ground and, despite a 7lb hike in the ratings for that, he remains a serious player and it is encouraging for his supporters that Fran Berry keeps the ride. However, ANCELOTTI gets the vote after putting a moderate juvenile campaign behind him. He's displayed marked improvement in both handicap starts this term and the step back up to 1m may just do the trick. Forgiving Light is another to take seriously.
Stocktons Wing got off the mark in comfortable fashion at Listowel earlier this month and looks capable of following up here. Forgiving Light and Flaring Forth look likely to fight it out for minor honours, whilst any market support for Act of Attrition should be noted.
