Joel Parkinson & Sue Smith have been going great guns this season and their 21 winners to date leave them only six short of a best total of 27 in a first year with a joint-licence.
The inform team added to their total at the weekend with two winners at Newcastle and Doncaster and another three runners were all placed too.
The season’s highlights so far have been the victories of O’Connell in the London National at Sandown and with Konfusion in the Rehearsal Chase at Newcastle and they have plenty of bullets to fire from their High Eldwick base in West York as a busy Christmas ensues.
Parkinson said: ‘We are delighted with the way the horses are performing and we just to have to improve little things and the horses thank us for it. O’Connell has been one of our flagbearers and if we hold our form, we would have a chance with him in the Welsh National.’
Here, Parkinson kindly spoke to Tony Elves for attheraces.com about the team at their Bingley stables.
