Trainer says

He came back in looking very strong and is in great form. We have him in the Champion Chase at Down Royal, but I’m not sure if we’ll go that route with him. He would be a candidate for the Grand National, so if we decide to steer him down that path, we might start him off somewhere else.

We’ve been really happy with her since she came back in. She’s actually working after racing at Navan on Wednesday, so that should be a good step up in her preparation. Her schooling over fences has been really good and she’s always looked one that would love chasing. She’ll start off at either Down Royal or Navan I’d imagine. Trip-wise, we might start her off at a middle distance, but to be honest, I think she’d be grand over any trip. We’ll get her started and work from there.

We were very happy with his comeback run at Punchestown last week. He’ll go to Down Royal now for either the second-season chase or the Champion Chase. We need to work out whether he is one for big handicap chases or open Graded company, so his run at Down Royal will hopefully give us a good steer on that.

He’s in particularly good order. He worked after racing at Navan on Wednesday and all being well he’ll be one for the second-season chase at Down Royal. He’s in a similar spot to some of our others in that we need to sort out how high we are going to try them this season, so what he does at Down Royal should guide us.

I’m tempted to step him up in trip to see if we can pull a little bit of improvement out of him. I liked what I saw from him when we went back up to two-and-a-half miles in his final start last season and it made me think that three miles might be worth a shot with him. So, we might start him in the Champion Chase at Down Royal if the ground wasn’t too bad.

He’s a horse we like plenty. We have the option of staying hurdling or going chasing, but it hasn’t been discussed with his owner yet. He progressed really nicely last season and has all the promise to do even better this season whichever route he takes.

He’s back in and looks great. The plan is to go novice hurdling with him and we’ll look to give him a gentle start back. His bumper form was obviously very good and hopefully all that ability is still there after his time off.

He’s going novice hurdling. His schooling has been really good, and I’d say he’ll be one to start off at Down Royal. I don’t think mid-range trips will be an issue for him, but we’ll get him started and adjust based on what we see from him.

She’s a really nice filly. She keeps putting her hand up every time we work them, and I’d say she has a lot of ability.

He’s off the type of rating that is going to make him a bit tricky to place. He’s likely to start off in the Boyne Hurdle at Navan and that will give him the chance to show us if he’s one to drive on in open Graded hurdles or whether lower levels are more like it for him.

Trainer says

It was great for him to get a big day at Galway as he had rattled the crossbar on big days on a few occasions. He’s another hurdler that is in that tricky in-between space. We’ll most likely start him off in a Graded hurdle and we’ll see how he measures up. He will most likely jump a fence in time, but I’d say we’ll stick to hurdles for now.

He seems to be in great form and he’s going to go novice chasing. He always jumped his hurdles like a chaser in the making and his schooling over fences has really pleased us. I’d say we’ll start him off at a mid-range trip and see from there.

We’d like to start him off in the Hatton’s Grace Hurdle at Fairyhouse, but we’d want plenty of rain to do that and going over for the Ascot Hurdle instead is an option. The ground wasn’t soft enough for him at Fairyhouse last year, and we won’t run if that is the case this year. We’ve been giving him big gaps in between his runs for the last couple of years, but we might keep him a little busier this time around.

We’ve decided to keep him over hurdles. There is a Listed hurdle for him at Down Royal or he could go to the Boyne Hurdle instead. I could see us stepping up to three miles with him sooner rather the later, maybe at Leopardstown’s Christmas meeting.

I think we’re going to have a very good season with her.
