It might be worth giving BELLS 'N' BANJOS another try as he showed decent form in bumpers last term and may have needed his run at Stratford. The obvious danger is the penalised Aniknam, who shaped as if he would get further when landing a staying-on success at Hexham and boasts a run in the Champion INH Flat Race at Punchestown on his CV. Kylemore Lough and Nightline carry penalties for success and are respected, but the expensive point winner Adam du Breteau should be monitored in the betting.

HORIZONTAL SPEED looks a solid selection as he gave the potentially top-class Saphir Du Rheu a decent enough run for his money until the second-last at Exeter. Red Devil Boys is only reluctantly passed over, though, as he was running a cracker following a lengthy absence at Doncaster when hampered in the closing stages. He can bounce back with a big performance here. Line D'aois tries fences for the first time under Rules and shouldn't be overlooked in an intriguing affair.

The assessor has stepped in after GARDEFORT hacked up on his Ludlow reappearance, but perhaps an 11lb rise in the weights isn't insurmountable considering the third has scored since. Creepy is on a bit of a retrieval mission after a couple of disappointing efforts but he can give the selection plenty to think about if bouncing back in handicap company. Veteran performer ARCTIC BEN might be able to gain some compensation for his heavy fall at Doncaster.
