John Louis was unable to justify odds-on favouritism in bottomless ground at Lingfield and that creates doubt over the suitability of underfoot conditions here. Bearing that in mind, perhaps ASTRUM is worth another try as he may have needed his reappearance run at Carlisle and is the best of these on official ratings. Masterplan has some decent bumper form in the book but needs to bounce back from a few disappointing efforts.

Watch out for: John Louis (4)

MASTERPLAN has yet to show his best over hurdles though can only improve with experience and should settle better now tongue tied and back down in trip.The Martin Keighley pair rate as dangers, notably The Wexfordian, who's lightly raced in bumpers/chases and now tries hurdles, while Seymour Star may still find this enough of a stamina test for all he needs further ideally.

BAR A MINE stayed on effectively over a sharper trip over hurdles when last sighted and gets the nod on his chasing bow. Trafficker looks a big danger as he achieved a similar level of form to the selection over timber and has some experience of jumping bigger obstacles from his time between the flags. It might be worth giving BLADOUN another try as he jumped left at Taunton so he will be better suited by this test and might find improvement in a first-time visor. Spice Fair is a danger if the selection fails to fire as he chased home a useful rival at Leicester and enters handicap company on a fair mark of 113. The returning Saffron Prince and Broughtons Bandit deserve close market inspection and complete the shortlist.

Distance winner Marie Des Anges scored with plenty in hand over the extended 2m1f at Exeter on Monday and should go well again now running under a penalty. The vote, however, goes to HARRY'S FAREWELL, who looks to be getting the hang of things over fences and is expected to build on his solid second at Wincanton. Winston Churchill ran well to take second spot at Newbury and could also figure.
