BIGOBANG put in an excellent effort on his debut, closing strongly over five and a half furlongs to fail by a nose to win. Dropped in class here and over an extra furlong, he should prove too strong today. The speedy Collect To Seattle has some reasonable form in better company and looks the one for the exacta.
Experience in these speed events counts for a lot and none here is more experienced that HERE TO WIN. He's scored four times this year over distances ranging from 880 to 1100 yards. Mac Ryon has winning form in similar contests but might not get this trip and Latin Luminosa, winner of a $5k maiden claimer over four and a half furlongs, might be the one for the exacta.
Inspiring Alf has won against tougher sorts but has disappointed in his last two starts. Brazen N' Bold has been knocking on the door since late summer and should be thereabouts again but is likely to find one too good in POINT DUME, the fastest of these on dirt and over this trip. He scored in a similar contest over C&D back in October and returns to this level after two good efforts in much tougher races.
Copper Town might be open to improvement after just two starts while Caros Foxy Lady is a speedy sort who has some form in tougher company. Preference, however, is for STRIDERETTE, just beaten over 6f here in a similar race last time. The slightly long trip today should give her the edge.
White Rino scored by 7l over C&D last time in a similar contest and has strong claims here. Scotchwater won almost as easily in a similar contest over C&D and is another to consider but the vote goes to JULIETAS BOLGER who is on a hat-trick after two wins over 1,000 yards here recently. However, he's also scored over C&D recently and is difficult to oppose in this sort of form.
ADDIE JO looks the most solid option. She boasts the best speed figures and finished runner-up in similar company last time. Her stable has since hit top-form and Jim Hills' filly gets the nod ahead of Snuggle Me Up and Ripsqueak who both take a drop in class.
L.L. MOODY has been in consistently good form of late and finished runner-up in similar last time. Fred Snapp's charge will not need to improve much to get back to winning ways here. Maggiesguy and Mudslide look good exacta material.
TEMERITAS had no less than six of today's rivals behind when successful over an extended mile here last time. Don Mills' barn remains in flying form and his charge looks capable of following up here. Cariboo Prospector and Sports Tour finished closest to him on that occasion and look likely to pose the biggest threat here.
EARLY MORNING SHOW is unlikely to be much of a price but is difficult to oppose. She won over 5 1/2f here last time and is having her first start for a new barn with a fine strike rate first time after a claim. Melba had B J's Black Gold behind when runner-up over track and trip last time and looks the main threat.
