The market should be monitored closely regarding the newcomers and any strong support should be noted, especially positive market vibes for Blaine Wright's debutante Hint Of Lavender. It could pay to side with those with experience, however, and AFEUFORTHEROAD gets the nod. She improved on her debut to make the frame here latest and there could be more to come.
After knocking on the door for some time, AMERICAN FURY gained a deserved success in a similar event here last time out and did so with enough in hand to suggest he can follow up tonight. King's County, third over C&D latest, looks the biggest danger, although Willy Wompus isn't without place claims.
ROWDY ME didn't appear to get home when finishing second over six and a half furlongs here last month and, with this drop in trip likely to suit, he is well fancied to regain the winning thread tonight. Cash Carson is taking a slight drop in grade and could pose the main threat while Forever Moon is another that warrants respect.
SLEW OF THATCH was far from disgraced when finishing fourth here in January and, with slightly-easier task ahead of her tonight, she could prove far to strong for these rivals. My Emy My Amy was narrowly touched off here last time out and rates the biggest threat, while Ozark Rose is another that cannot be easily dismissed.
SPEEDUBAI followed her taking track and trip victory in January with a solid second last month. She had Knows Her Beaus, Justcallmecarrie, Blazen Bunny and Fatouls Gold behind her on that occasion and she looks sure to give another excellent account of herself this evening. Fusaichi Heart is in good form and shouldn't be far away when it matters.
A potentially tricky puzzle for punters to get to the bottom of with the likes of Global Boy and Herman De Rat both doing enough of late to be of interest. However, DANTE'S GULCH finished well when only finding one too good over track and trip last time and he gets the nod.
Mike Chambers has his string in fine form at present and any significant market support for his newcomer, Whistled, should be noted. However, experience often proves vital in events of this nature and the preference is for ARENA NEGRA, who filled the runner-up spot on his turf debut here last month. Elsewhere, Billy Boy's Buddy and Canabull are hard to rule out.
