Splurge has been in cracking form in recent months and he looks sure to give another good account of himself despite a 4lb rise for last month's narrow C&D defeat. LENREY made light work of a Naas novice chase last month, as he was entitled to do on the form of his head second to Sky's The Limit over this C&D on Boxing Day. With that first chase victory bound to have done his confidence some good, he could be a tough nut to crack today. Perce Rock looked a very tired horse when taking a crashing fall at the final flight here last month but the drop back in trip is sure to suit and he remains a horse of some potential. Dark Artist, who's performed with credit in all three starts since winning on his chasing debut at Thurles, was only narrowly denied in a Grade 2 last month and is another must for any short-list.

Zarinava was heavily backed on her racecourse debut here in January and although ultimately disappointing on that occasion, it will be interesting to see how he fares in the betting market today. There are several intruiging newcomers in this field though, most notably No Pasa Nada and ECHO BOB. Slight preference is for Henry De Bromhead's charge, who holds a bumper entry at the Punchestown Festival in April.
