TUG O' WAR ran out a comfortable winner over track and trip last time and could take some stopping in his bid to follow up. Old Man River has been running consistently well of late (including behind the selection latest) and should give another good account, while Aggression is no forlorn hope.
HAITIAN's confidence is sure to be sky high after scoring readily over an extended 1m here last time and he will be well fancied to repeat the dosage tonight. Cavanal has won on four of his last five visits to the racetrack and should put up a good fight, while El Vic is another worthy of consideration.
OCEAN BABE has really come into her own of late and appears to have an outstanding chance of completing the hat-trick tonight. That's How We Roll and Grandma Kate finished second and third respectively in a similar prize at this venue last month and they may be left to scrap it out for minor honours once again.
Baby Moon finished a nose in front of Kachina Dream when they finished third and fourth over a mile in this grade last time but the latter had won their previous meeting and should come out on top tonight. They look to be playing for places, however, behind SHE'S A SWEETIE, a C&D scorer in a $4k claimer last time out. She's turned in a string of good efforts in better races and looks far too good for these rivals.
King Justin landed an $8k claimer here last time but that was over four and a half furlongs and he's never tackled this trip before. Attleboro scored well over the extended 6f here but takes a big step up in class and is passed over in favour of ILIKECHOCOLATEMILK, who won an $8k claimer over a route here three starts ago. She struggled in better company since but looks the one to be on, dropped to this grade.
CUFFED ran out a very impressive winner of a 7f maiden at Hollywood Park, posting the highest last time out speed figure in the process, and he can continue his progress with another success tonight. We Are One steps up in class in his bid to complete the hat-trick and looks a bigger threat than the downgraded Touch Of Elegance.
A low grade affair but it is quite competitive and a case can be made for a few of them. Joe's Cannon should go well and Traffic Update has leading claims but preference is for QUICK MEETING. A reproduction of his C&D second last month might be just about good enough to take this prize.
Vickie Vee is entitled to run a big race in this line-up and Chu Shy Shy should be involved where it matters most but FRANNY B is likely to take all the beating. She won over a mile here last month and the slight drop in trip will not pose a problem.
BOB JILA finished a close second in a slightly more competitive race last time and he might be able to go one better if reproducing that form here. Prospective Love won in this grade last month and he rates an obvious danger along with Outa Crown who won over 5f here last month.
