BRAVE TIGER failed to follow up his ready success on the all-weather at Kempton last week when beaten at Redcar on Monday and looks worth passing over again in favour of VOLCANIC DUST. Ed Dunlop's filly bumped into the smart Krypton Factor when second at Beverley last time but seems unlikely to meet anything of that calibre here and is fancied to go one better today. Perfect Pastime went down by a narrow margin at Warwick latest and is expected to be in the thick of the action once again, while Jack Smudge improved to strike at Catterick three weeks ago and cannot be overlooked.
With Brave Tiger having something to prove after a Redcar flop on Monday, this could be left to Perfect Pastime to get off the mark. A stiff 5f should suit him well and he can get the better of Buddy Miracle and Volcanic Dust.

Experience can often prove crucial in this type of event so MUTAYASER gets the nod. The son of Shamardal is entitled to have learnt a great deal from his debut fifth over an extended 7f at Leicester last month and breeding suggests that this longer trip will suit. Like the selection, Aloneinthestreet may have come on for his introductory effort on the all-weather at Kempton, while Masked Marvel and Miss Diagnosis make most appeal of the newcomers.
Masked Marvel is bred to be smart and the well-entered newcomer can make a winning start to his career. Mutayaser shaped well enough on his Leicester debut and can go close, while Aloneinthestreet is another once-raced performer to consider.

TREASURY DEVIL made a big impression when landing the spoils on his racecourse debut at Newbury almost five weeks ago (third has won since) and, with improvement expected, he will be well fancied to complete the double. A couple of Group 1 entries suggest that connections hold him in very high regard. Introvert has yet to finish out of the first three in four appearances (winning one) to date and should give another good account here, while My Vindication is a respected debutant.
Treasury Devil shaped with plenty of promise when winning at Newbury on debut and he can maintain his unbeaten record. Colorado Gold flopped in the mud in France last time but this is more suitable and he could be the one for the forecast.

The 'boys in blue' continue to send out winners and their SKYSURFERS appears to have an outstanding chance here. He lost little in defeat when finishing runner-up behind the useful Yaa Wayl in this grade over 7f at York last time and a repeat performance will make him tough to beat. Riggins looked to find the 7f trip too sharp at Goodwood and should mount a bold bid stepping back up in distance, while Penitent is better than his latest effort suggests and cannot be ruled out.
Riggins remains capable of a bit better and he can gain a deserved first success for his new stable on the back of some solid efforts this year. Skysurfers is another to consider, while Dandy Boy is another with plenty to recommend him.

Fleeting Glance improved significantly to strike at Doncaster latest and warrants the utmost respect on her debut in handicap company, but they will all have to go some to beat the hat-trick seeking RARE TERN. Sir Mark Prescott's inmate didn't have to come out of second gear on her most recent outing at Epsom last Thursday and a 6lb penalty is unlikely to be enough to bring her winning sequence to an end. Miss Antonia looks set to run her usual solid race.
This has the look of a hot handicap for the grade. Rare Tern has to go well under a penalty for last week's Epsom romp, but Fleeting Glance could have been let in lightly on her handicap debut and is just preferred. Anacopa is another to consider.

ALAZAN has notched up a couple of victories over timber already this year and could take some stopping on his return to Flat duty. The most recent of his wins came at Bangor almost one month ago and Frankie Dettori is an eye-catching jockey booking today. Laudatory has been knocking on the door recently and seems sure to be heavily involved once more, while Negotiation has been in fine form of late and looks a solid each-way contender.
