Auntie Kathryn won with a bit in hand over 5f at Yarmouth last week and a 6lb penalty is unlikely to prevent another bold bid. Steel Rain and Bitter Lemon both handle cut in the ground and are accorded plenty of respect. El Dececy can also figure if turning out again after Tuesday's Southwell run, but the verdict goes the way of DANCING MAITE. He is rated much lower on turf than on the all-weather and although this trip is shorter than ideal for him, he could still be capable of getting involved.

DIVERTIMENTI has not exactly been firing on all cylinders of late but he is now 5lb lower than when last successful and can make his presence felt dropping into 0-55 company today. Alpha Tauri has recorded all four of his wins over 7f on fibresand at Southwell but his turf mark is much lower than his all-weather rating and he should not be overlooked. Rio Sands, Invigilator and Tenancy are all highly respected.

Watch out for: Rio Sands (10)

Tenancy seemed refreshed after a short break when running well from out of the weights to finish second at Redcar recently and can go one better for local connections here. Invigilator and Simple Rhythm are viable alternatives.

Balinka has found some improvement since being paired with Silvestre De Sousa and she is certainly respected along with Poppy Bond, who is probably capable of a little better than she showed at Carlisle last time. However, preference is for OSCARS JOURNEY. He got off the mark in Windsor maiden on heavy ground last month and a bold bid can be expected making his handicap debut here. Blue Lotus is also worthy of consideration.

Zain Eagle shaped with promise in what looked a decent Newmarket maiden on debut and he should come on for that experience. Dashing Star also commands the utmost respect but it might pay to side with one of the interesting debutants. Shwaiman makes plenty of appeal on pedigree but ARABIAN SKIES gets the nod. A son of Authorized, he should have no problem with this trip or ground and he could well enhance his trainer's excellent strike rate at this venue.

Motion Lass shaped nicely on her racecourse introduction at Leicester and she should be on the premises, granted natural progression. Llaregyb is also considered, while both Boite and Magic Hurricane make plenty of appeal on debut. So too does MUHTARIS, a full brother to useful German performer Black Arrow. It would be no surprise to see him go close at the first time of asking.

Watch out for: Motion Lass (14)

Llaregyb very much caught the eye when fourth on his debut at Newmarket 2 weeks ago and can confirm that promise by landing this. Motion Lass could provide the biggest threat, ahead of expensive newcomer Muhtaris.

St Moritz meets the selection on 6lb worse terms than he would in a handicap but he comes into this in better form so must be respected. Day Of Destiny is best known as a hurdler but he should not be totally overlooked back on the level today.

Uncle Dermot comes into this in good heart and he looks sure to be in the shake-up once more. Nameitwhatyoulike carries a 6lb penalty for his Catterick success last week but he has obvious claims along with Kay Gee Be and Maven. Five-time C&D winner WEST END LAD is now 6lb lower than when winning at Doncaster back in March and he handles cut in the ground so is a potential fly in the ointment.
