Delegator was a disappointing favourite in this last year and since making a winning return in the Duke Of York Stakes, this year's campaign has been another frustrating one for connections. He appears best caught fresh while the filly Maqaasid has questions to answer having found things tough since her 1000 Guineas third to Blue Bunting here back in May. Chachamaidee brings strong recent form to the table having chased home the exceptional Sahpresa in the Sun Chariot two weeks ago. She is a big player but the one who holds all the aces is STRONG SUIT, who bids to add this prize to the Jersey Stakes and Lennox Stakes successes he has gained already this season. Kept fresh since the latter, he comes into this on the back of a relatively light campaign and can book his ticket to the Breeders' Cup with victory today.
This doesn't look the strongest of Group 2s and, despite his penalty, it's hard to oppose the thriving Strong Suit, who hasn't had a hard campaign and promises to be a Group 1 winner further down the line. Chachamaidee seems likely to push him closest.

The French raider Family One seems sure to attract significant support having finished second to recent Jean-Luc Lagardere hero Dabirsim in the Prix Morny in August. Already a Group 2 winner, his form claims are rock solid, with similar comments applying to the admirably tough and progressive Caspar Netscher, who followed up his Gimcrack victory with a ready success in the Mill Reef at Newbury. The unbeaten Bapak Chinta makes his first start since landing the Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot but he missed an intended engagement in the Nunthorpe (setback) and has stamina to prove over this stiff 6f. Justineo would seemingly have a bit to find and a chance is taken on SAMMINDER, who created such a favourable impression when making a winning debut at Yarmouth in May. A promising second to the smart Mezmaar at Leicester last month, he should be cherry ripe for this and is taken to follow in the footprints of Dutch Art, who won this race for the stable in 2006.
Bapak Chinta missed the Nunthorpe at York because of a minor setback. He had looked a top juvenile when winning the Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot, but his lay-off leaves him with a bit to prove and the tough and still-progressive Caspar Netscher looks the more solid option. Rebellious Guest could go well at a big price.

POWER has established himself as the leading 2-y-o colt on both sides of the Irish sea this season with victories in the Coventry and the National Stakes, and Aidan O'Brien's son of Oasis Dream looks to have all the answers on his return to these shores. The step up to this 7f trip looked tailor-made when the tough colt pulled away from Dragon Pulse at the Curragh last month and it will take a smart performance to lower his colours this afternoon. The unbeaten Ektihaam is of most interest elsewhere having taken care of some useful juveniles so far but a mile, and beyond, could prove his optimum in time with similar sentiments applying to Most Improved, who takes this marked step up in class having routed a good field in a maiden in August. Richard Hughes prefers the unbeaten Bronterre to Champagne Stakes winner Trumphet Major, but the latter is improving at a rate of knots and isn't to be underestimated.
Power runs here in preference to the Middle Park and his chance has to be taken very seriously with his National Stakes win looking the best form on offer. That said, he faces 2 less-exposed and unbeaten colts who have both created a very good impression in their races so far, and it could be that Bronterre denies him this time. Ektihaam is the other one who has to be feared.

KEYS looked a smart prospect when landing a Listed bumper at Cheltenham at the beginning of this year and once qualified for a mark on the level, Roger Charlton's 4-y-o has blossomed over staying distances. A facile handicap debut success at Newbury was quickly followed by a cosy defeat of the reopposing Colour Vision at Ascot and this has been his long-term aim ever since. Despite scoping dirty in the build up, connections have reported him back on track since and he remains attractively handicapped. Cosimo De Medici quickened up in good style to land the C&D trial here three weeks ago and rates an obvious contender under a 4lb penalty, along with Royal Ascot hero Veiled, who has been kept fresh for this. Braveheart Move never took to hurdles but he remains interestingly treated on the level and warrants respect, as do Irish raiders Rainforest Magic and Buy Back Bob.
Traditionally a difficult puzzle to solve, made all the more so this year with many of the more interesting runners in outside stalls. Neither Keys nor Veiled have fared especially well with the draw, but both are open to further improvement, with slight preference for the former who could prove better than a handicapper in time. Phoenix Flight may also go well at a big price.

The unbeaten ALSINDI went a long way to justifying the high regard in which she has always been held by trainer Clive Brittain when sticking her neck out in game style to land the Oh So Sharp Stakes here last month. An honest sort with a smart turn of foot, she made up an impressive amount of ground to reel in Questing late on last time and looks a top-class filly in making. Sunday Times holds just about the most persuasive form claims having just failed to claim Lightening Pearl in the Group 1 Cheveley Park here two weeks and the step up to 7f is expected to suit. However, she needs to prove that effort was no fluke while Pimpernel takes a deserved step up in class having entered a few notebooks after winning a nursery in fine style here last time. The Irish raiders Janey Muddles and Wading are also respected in what looks an above-average renewal.
Sunday Times's second in a Group 1 over 6f here is just about the best form on offer and she'll stay 7f, but Pimpernel's nursery win was backed up by an impressive time and she can prove herself up to this level. Alsindi and Wading are just 2 potential dangers in what should prove a most informative contest.

Perennial's debut defeat of the highly-regarded Encke is rock-solid form, with the latter bolting up here last weekend, but this represents a significant rise in grade and the Irish raider ASTROLOGY is preferred. The Ballydoyle inmate made light work of his opposition when making a stylish winning debut at Leopardstown and performed with plenty of credit when stepped up to Group 2 level last time, finishing third to subsequent National Stakes runner-up Dragon Pulse. The return to a mile will suit this son of Galileo and he could prove a tough nut to crack in this grade.
