An interesting juvenile hurdle opens the card and it could pay to side with RED RIVERMAN. The Nigel Twiston-Davies charge shaped well on both his starts over timber in September and with experience under his belt, this could be his chance to break his duck. A Little Bit Dusty made a pleasing start to his jumping career but may need further in time while a positive market move for the Alan King newcomer Secret Edge should be noted.
Major Dance and Secret Edge are hurdling newcomers for top stables, but Luggers Hall sets a pretty good standard with his runner-up effort in Ireland and can put his experience to good use.

AFRICAN BROADWAY was last seen to good effect when romping home in a Newbury bumper and the David Pipe charge could take all the beating on his hurdling debut. The way in which he pulled clear in that particular bumper suggested this step up in trip shouldn't pose too many problems but don't rule out the chances of Lundy Sky and and Grand Vision, who can both get serious where it matters most.
It's unlikely we've seen the best of hurdle-winner Lundy Sky, but a drop in trip isn't bound to suit, and he meets 2 well-above-average bumper sorts in African Broadway and Saint Luke, with preference for the former.

Colin Tizzard's Theatrical Star looks the most likely danger having displayed promise in bumper company earlier this year, while of the others, Allerton might be of particular interest to each-way punters.
A lot is clearly expected of Irish point winner Slightly Tanned after connections forked out £100,000 for him, and he is taken to get the job done on his hurdling debut. Go Get Em Kid and Allerton could give him most to think about.

In what looks a straight match up between Cue Card and SILVINIACO CONTI, the latter gets the nod. The Paul Nicholls-trained gelding beat subsequent Arkle hero Captain Chris by ten lengths in the Persian War Novices' Hurdle over track and trip 12 months ago and the 162-rated hurdler is taken to give a bold account of himself on his chasing debut. The Colin Tizzard inmate is a huge threat, however, having shaped with bags of promise over hurdles last season, while Le Corvee and Micheal Flips could be forced to settle for a supporting role.
Both Cue Card and Silviniaco Conti can boast high-class hurdles form and there's every reason to think they'll scale the same heights over fences. Slight preference is for Cue Card.

DOMTALINE was beginning to shape menacingly at Newbury when last sighted before the gelded son of Martaline fell at the third last. The form of the particular juvenile hurdle has worked out well, most notably in the shape of winner Grandouet, and with C&D form in the book, the four-year-old is likely to take some beating. Architrave appeals most of the others at the forecast prices with Tim Vaughan enjoying a rich vein of the form, while Jubail is another with claims.
Paul Nicholls took this with Escort'men last year and Domtaline will be a popular choice to follow in his footsteps, but he has something to prove after being given time to get over a fall, and preference is for Mr Harmoosh, who is progressing well of late and can make his match fitness count. Tim Vaughan's new recruit Peaks of Fire is also worth considering.

A P McCoy wouldn't of had the easiest of decisions to make when choosing between EASTLAKE and Award Winner but the former was preferred and this would indicate that connections feel the horse is well treated on his handicap debut. The son of Beneficial has done nothing but improve and could be some way ahead of the assessor off this mark of 120. French import Edgardo Sol would be interesting if allowed to take his chance following his third at Newton Abbot on Friday.
JP McManus holds a strong hand with the improving Eastlake and back-to-form Award Winner, with McCoy opting to partner the former, but given the progress Bally Legend made last season he's taken to make a winning reappearance with the return to a longer trip expected to suit him well.

The veteran chaser TEMPLER gave yet another solid account of himself at Newton Abbot in September and would appear to have another big run up his sleeve off the same mark. The drop in trip is expected to suit while he appears versatile in regards to underfoot conditions. Born Again makes his handicap debut in this sphere and commands respect under A P McCoy, while of the others, Reve De Sivola is interesting dropping back in class.
Reve de Sivola will take a bit of stopping if he can cut out the mistakes, but that's still a big 'if', and it could be worth siding with the unexposed Born Again, who will be suited by this trip. Templer doesn't know how to run a bad race and has place claims again.

Any positive market moves for newcomers Jayandbee and Velator would be worth taking seriously and while point-to-point winner Listen Boy is worth of a place on any shortlist, ONE TERM is preferred. Two attempts in similar company have shown the four-year-old is clearly progressing and with McCoy booked, this could be his day. Wiffy Chatsby is another with claims while Knock A Hand appeals at the forecast prices from an each-way point of view.
One Term and Wiffy Chatsby set the standard and both are entitled to plenty of respect, but Anthony Honeyball's record in this sphere is remarkable, and well-bred newcomer Velator can further boost his trainer's profile.
