L'Eldorado ran with credit when third over 2m at Southwell on his chasing debut in May. He hasn't too much to find to score here but might benefit for this race, his first since the spring. Bocciani didn't appear to stay last time when a distant third over 2m 5f at Perth but won nicely over 2m 1f at Sedgefield in May and has claims back over a similar trip. Slight preference, however, is for QUITE THE MAN, a game scorer over 2m in a Perth handicap on his chasing debut. This doesn't look any tougher.
Bocciani has yet to prove he's quite as good over fences as hurdles and this may rest between Quite The Man and L'Eldorado, the former given the nod after a promising start over fences at Perth recently.

This looks a good opportunity for MADAMLILY to open her account over hurdles at the third time of asking. Second in both starts to date, she was somewhat unlucky when beaten less than a length over 2m 6f at Cartmel after hitting at the last. With a clear round today, she should see off these rivals. Bangor novice winner Seedless has continued to run well and looks the biggest danger but Rare Ruby, a useful sort on the Flat and making her second appearance over timber following a four-year gap, could make a bold showing.
Madamlily is just preferred to Rare Ruby for all the latter is the superior mare on the Flat. Seedless looks much the best of the rest.

In an open affair, it could pay to side with STAGECOACH AMBER, second in this race last year. He lost his way somewhat after that effort but looks to be running back into form, finishing a close third over this trip at Sedgefield last month. He's won off a higher mark in the past and will take all the beating if anywhere near back to his best. Farmer Frank is a fairly-consistent sort and looks the one for the forecast but Ffos Las maiden hurdle scorer Beneficial Reform could go well on his chasing debut.
Beneficial Reform and Emperor Charlie are both interesting starting out over fences off workable marks but Et Maintenant can emerge on top if on a 'going' day.

Whatdoidowiththat has won this race twice in the last three years but hasn't been out for eight months and looks to have plenty of weight. Vallani and Cartmel maiden hurdle winner Overyou can be given chances but also might need some help from the handicapper. However, they look to be playing for places behind SUPER ALLY, an impressive winner over fences at Kelso this month. Lightly raced, he has shown plenty of ability over the smaller obstacles and can land this off what looks like a very useful handicap mark.
If Super Ally reproduces the form he showed over fences last week he's likely to prove too strong for the likes of Whatdoidowiththat and Vallani.

In a wide-open contest, it's worth taking a chance on MOMKINZAIN, who is making his debut over hurdles. A useful handicapper on the Flat when with Mick Channon, he makes his debut for his new yard here and is sure to be well prepared. Allow Me ran well when third at Newcastle on his hurdling debut but that was 19 months ago and he hasn't been out since. Fill The Power is the most experienced of these over hurdles but is flattered by his form figures and needs to improve while Irish point-to-point winner Ifonlyalfie is best watched for now.
Allow Me boasts stronger credentials than Fill The Power on the book and would have been the selection if it wasn't for his long absence, but under the circumstances it could be worth taking a chance with Momkinzain, who is a fair performer on the level and isn't too highly tried on his first stab at hurdling.

There may not be many more wins to come for the veteran TOULOUSE EXPRESS but if he turns up in the same mood as when scoring over 3m 3f at Sedgefield last month, he will take all the beating here. He carries another 13lb today but came home comfortably by 20 lengths last time and should score here with a similar effort. Sailor's Sovereign, second at Cartmel on his last two starts, looks the danger, especially if the first-time blinkers work, but chasing newcomer Stormion and Cloudy Dawn, who ran out latest when well placed, can be given chances.
Cloudy Dawn still held a narrow lead when running out approaching 3 out in a similar event over C&D recently and is worth chancing in a race which won't take much winning. The lightly-raced Stormion is an obvious danger if taking to chasing on his return to action.

This can go the way of LADY OF VERONA (nap), a progressive sort who was a good third at Perth latest on her second start. She looks to have little more to find to land the spoils here. Badgers Retreat is a nicely-bred sort related to plenty of winners and he should pose a threat on his racecourse debut but Rowdy Rocher scored between the flags last time out and is another who could make a bold showing on his debut under Rules.
