Mr Top Hat and Jack Crow appeal on the back of runner-up finishes at Windsor and Kempton respectively. However, the most interesting of these is BUFFER ZONE, a smartly-bred son of Bated Breath who made a debut full of promise when a close-up fourth at Salisbury last month. He should have learnt plenty from that initial experience and can be expected to go very close.

Watch out for: Mr Top Hat (9)

BESHAAYIR was heavily backed prior to narrowly missing out on her C&D debut last month and normal improvement should see her prove very heard to beat this time around, especially with Ryan Moore taking over in the saddle. The solid one is Yarmouth runner-up Foxtrot Lady, who has gone close the last twice and won't be far away again, while Richard Hannon takes the wraps off 220,000gns purchase Haylah who is certainly bred for the job.

Watch out for: Foxtrot Lady (12)

BESHAAYIR largely justified her reputation when just denied over this C&D on debut 5 weeks ago and has obvious claims of going one place better. Rewaayat is evidently well thought of also given his Dewhurst entry and is feared most ahead of Foxtrot Lady, who went close at Yarmouth last month.

ROGUE took another step forward when winning with a bit to spare at Salisbury last month and with that form already working out well, Richard Hannon's charge looks well treated off an opening handicap mark of 79. Red Roman is proving a hardy juvenile who should give his running again, while Running Cloud remains worth respecting despite failing to fire when strongly fancied at Windsor last time. Bombastic is also respected with De Sousa taking over in the saddle.

DANCE THE DREAM signed off last season by winning over this trip at Leicester and there was no shame in her reappearance third in a Listed contest at Goodwood. She's expected to give a good account now returned to handicap company and shades preference ahead of Minotaur, who returns from a productive spell hurdling. Danehill Kodiac and Wild Hacked are closely matched on their recent Group 3 clash at Kempton and are others capable of taking a hand.

MACAQUE was touched off by under a length at Goodwood last time but the handicapper was sufficiently impressed to hike his rating 9lb to 88 and he should take all of the beating if running to that level of form this afternoon. Salisbury second White Mocha appears to be improving between runs and is feared most, while there may be better to come from Bon Scotte, who struck on debut for Richard Hannon and has Ryan Moore booked.

Watch out for: Bon Scotte (1)

WHITE MOCHA progressed as expected from his debut success despite finding one too good at Salisbury earlier this month, crucially still looking rough around the edges. He's capable of better still and gets the nod. Macaque is feared most, whilst Bon Scotte may well emerge best of the Richard Hannon pair.

SECOND THOUGHT was put in his place by Harry Angel in the Sandy Lane when last sighted but there is no shame in that effort - the winner has won both the July Cup and Sprint Cup since and looks out of the top drawer. Now dropped in grade and stepped back up in trip, compensation could be in the offing for William Haggas' charge. Tabarrak rattled the crossbar in Group 3 company at Salisbury last time and has place claims, while Princess De Lune is worth monitoring in the betting now back from a break as she caught the eye on debut when hacking up in a C&D maiden in April.

Richard Hannon's LAMYA was a comfortable winner at Warwick last time, scoring on her second start. The Choisir filly steps up in trip now which presents a whole different ball game, but there is every chance she is able to progress once again here and she holds a Group Two entry later in the season over this trip. There could be more to come from Boreagh Lass following a comfortable victory over 6f at Windsor, while it would be foolish to discount the Cheveley Park Frankel filly Veracious who is ridden by Ryan Moore for Sir Michael Stoute.
