This race revolves around FRAWLEY making his hurdling debut. John Kiely's gelding was last seen finishing third behind Cue Card in the 2010 Weatherbys Champion Bumper at Cheltenham and should prove a cut above these rivals if anywhere near peak fitness. Dylan Ross, another useful bumper performer, held a slight lead when falling at the last on his hurdling debut at Down Royal in December and should go close with a clear round of jumping here while Cork bumper winner Just For Joe has place claims first time in this sphere.
Dylan Ross and Frawley look to have easily the most potential of these over hurdles and the latter is preferred given his excellent third to Cue Card when last seen at Cheltenham. Just For Joe was impressive at Cork last time and can run into a place.

A case can be made for the majority of these but VIRGIL EARP gets the vote. He comes out top of those who have earned an official rating and had been flying in this sphere prior to getting stuck in the mud at Listowel eight days ago. Royal Reveille has a largely progressive profile over timber and the race possibly came too son for him when turned over at skinny odds last time out. Given plenty of time to recover, he should be heavily involved while Lucy Stone is worthy of consideration on her first start since October having run well fresh in the past.
Virgil Earp has a clear chance at the weights but Royal Reveille, given a break following his latest start, can resume winning ways. Lucy Stone is best of the rest.

THE GREY EXPRESS appears to have been found a great opportunity to open her account this afternoon. Twice a winner in bumpers, she is by no means ungenuine and shaped as though dropping back in trip would help when fourth over an extended 2m5f at Downpatrick last time. Meitheamh wasn't disgraced at Listowel 12 days ago and that first outing since November will have blown any cobwebs away, while Hepahepa Naeney had been in fine form prior to an early fall at Galway latest and she warrants respect now tried in blinkers.
The Grey Express is taken to deservedly get off the mark, with Meitheamh and Thewesthowaya feared most.

LOOSEN MY LOAD looks the class act in the field and in the belief he may have been rejuvenated by a break, Henry De Bromhead's charge gets the vote. The selection raced a little too keenly to get home over 2m4f in the Jewson earlier in the year but looks capable of exploiting this drop in grade if settling better today. Adams Island unseated his rider at the first in the Kerry National on his first start for Paul Nolan but is expected to improve under the guidance of his new handler and can battle it out with Sebadee for the minor money.

In the main, the selection jumped well, and with the benefit of that experience under his belt, he is taken to go one better now. Rivage d'or has earned a rating of 135 over hurdles and is feared most now tackling the larger obstacles for the first time. Derinlaur landed more minor money when second over 2m5f at Killarney latest and is another to consider.
If Rivage d'Or jumps proficiently at the first attempt over fences he should play a leading role but, with experience to draw upon following a sound chase debut effort at Listowel, the vote goes to Blazing Beacon. First Impressions is a viable each-way option.

There was plenty to like about BLUE JIG LADY's debut third in a Down Royal bumper as she raced a little keenly in the opening stages but improved as the race wore on before running out of gas inside the final furlong. However, the experience gained that day is unlikely to have been lost on her and compensation awaits. Paudi The Punter is expected to benefit from the return to 2m and is feared most. Jamesson took a forward step when second at Perth last month and is another to consider.
Blue Jig Lady probably won't need to improve on her debut effort to take this, so she gets the nod ahead of Red Cert and Paudi The Punter.
