Newcomer Gabrial's Layla is interesting for owner Dr Marwan Koukash at his favourite track and the Dylan Thomas filly represents a trainer more than capable of readying a newcomer. Market confidence behind her would be noteworthy, but SELF CENTRED gets the vote, having set the form standard based on his last time out handicap third at York. She's Flawless is also considered.
The market will tell its own story regarding the newcomers, the pick of whom looks to be Gabrial's Layla, but Self Centred sets a fair standard and is taken to make the most of her experience.

Bubbly Ballerina is 4lb higher than when scoring over C&D two weeks ago and shouldn't be too far away if this wider draw doesn't prove a hindrance. Kimbali shaped as though this drop in trip would suit when weakening into second over 7f here latest and is capable of making his presence felt, but a chance is taken on SUNRISE DANCE, who caught the eye when grabbing second at York latest and may be suited by this drop in distance.
Sunrise Dance isn't entirely straightforward, but she has plenty in her favour here and is given another chance. Well-berthed pair Fulbright and Musical Valley also boast solid form credentials, and are respected.

DICK DOUGHTYWYLIE built upon his debut third at Newmarket when touched off by a head at Goodwood latest and looks the one they all have to beat based on those efforts. Fruehling, a half-brother to Glass Harmonium, who was a Group 3 winner for the yard, has shown a reasonable level of ability in two runs to date and can battle it out with Postscript, who returns from a lengthy absence, for the minor placings.
Dick Doughtywylie is well clear on the figures and should be able to make it third time lucky in maidens. Fruehling is preferred to Postscript of the others, although strong support for one of Mark Johnston's runners would be of interest.

The likeable Swift Alhaarth gained reward for a series of consistent efforts when making all to score at Doncaster latest. However, competition for the lead from Ivan Vasilevich means following up may be difficult so BELLE ROYALE gets the vote instead. Mark Brisbourne's filly built upon her 1m course victory when scoring at Thirsk recently and is worth a try over this longer trip, as is Weapon Of Choice, third over 1m here last time out.
Few can be ruled out with confidence, but Mashaaref continues to improve by the run and makes most appeal. Weapon of Choice is well drawn and would be a big threat if seeing out the longer trip, while Las Verglas Star looks the pick of the Richard Fahey pair.

ATLANTIS STAR finished well-held in a Listed event at Haydock latest but is expected to strip fitter for that outing, his first start since March, now dropped in trip. The form of Mahmood Al Zarooni's yard is an additional plus for the selection. Others to consider are Baby Strange, raised 1lb for his recent C&D second, and Brian Meehan's Greensward, who switches back to turf 2lb higher than when scoring on the all-weather at Kempton.
Baby Strange should run well from a good draw, while the tough One Scoop Or Two ought to give his running again, but a chance is taken on Kyllachy Star, who is much better than the result when behind that pair over C&D last time.

Courageous is capable of making his presence felt in 0-85 company but his effort at Ayr last time was questionable and a safer alternative appears to be the thriving three-year-old, PEARL BLUE, who was a wide-margin winner on soft ground at Salisbury last time and won't be fazed by the return to further, given she's a previous distance winner. Pat Morris' My Kingdom has dropped to a good mark and looks the pick of the remainder.

Shalloon led from the front when scoring over 1m2f at Sandown earlier in the month and it will be interesting to see if Franny Norton tries to repeat those tactics over further today. Recent Newmarket second Devoted and Haydock scorer Palazzo Bianco are also considered but the vote goes to QUAILS HOLLOW, a respectable third off a 1lb lower mark on his last start at Goodwood and one who promises to be suited by this extra furlong.
Palazzo Bianco looked a promising stayer when scoring at Haydock last time and is taken to continue his progression. Twice-raced Mezyaad can improve for the step up in trip, while course winner Gottany O's should run well again.
