LIOS A CHOILL snatched defeat from the jaws of victory when unshipping Patrick Mullins at the last at Thurles on his hurdling debut last month but he can gain compensation here if putting in a clear round. Our Musician looked useful in bumpers in 2009 and he is respected on his hurdling debut, despite the layoff. Jetson has been knocking on the door and he is respected along with Fairyhouse bumper winner Bog Warrior.
Bog Warrior created a big impression when winning a bumper on debut and this big chasing type looks set to take this maiden en route to better things. Jetson should give him most to do, whilst Lios A Choil would be sure to go close with a clear round.

TORPHICHEN was a Listed winner over hurdles and could make up into an even better chaser. After finding only Quel Esprit too good on his fencing bow at Limerick, he then won well at Clonmel and ran a fine race to finish third in Grade 1 company at Leopardstown at the end of December. The form has worked out well and he'll take plenty of beating here. Saludos and Sam Adams are feared most. Willie Mullins reports Quel Esprit and Mikael D'Haguenet will only run here if Leopardstown is off on Saturday. If they do line up, both must be accorded the utmost respect.
Question marks remain against Saludos' jumping, so it looks best to look elsewhere in this novice, with Eddie O'Grady's Torpichen looking the safest proposition. Sam Adams and Montan were impressive winners last time and look the chief dangers.

We have not seen the best of VOLER LA VEDETTE so far this season but she is a class act when at the top of her game and she can land this if bouncing back to top form. Shinrock Paddy is still improving and he commands plenty of respect on the form of his Grade 3 success over 2m3f here last month. Rigour Back Bob should run his race once more and be on the premises, while Stonemaster has place claims.
Voler La Vedette faces her easiest assignment for some time and should be up to gaining a deserved success. Shinrock Paddy is on the up, and Oscar Dan Dan is solid enough for a place.

His only defeat in three starts over fences came with a narrow defeat in a Grade 1 chase at Leopardstown and his victory in this grade over this trip at Naas latest put him in a different class to these rivals. Royal De La Thinte looked beaten when falling two out in that Naas race but should still lead the rest of the field home. Ballymak is going the right way but takes a big step up in class.
It is hard to look beyond Quito de La Roque here as he should be able to confirm Naas form with Royal de La Thinte and these conditions are right up the selection's street. The Hurl's jumping is still not without blemish but he still warrants the utmost respect.

Sizing Australia won over fences at Thurles two starts ago but hasn't scored over hurdles since landing a Punchestown maiden back in 2006. Shamiran was a comfortable winner over 2m at Punchestown latest but may struggle with another 13lb here, while Guestofthenation was a good second at Limerick but carries another 3lb here. TAKE A STROLL hasn't run for ten months but looked a progressive sort last season, finishing a close second at Gowran Park latest. If he's improved for his break, he should be capable of a defying a 4lb rise in the weights to score here.
A difficult puzzle to solve but Odonimee ran really well here last time and looks sure to give another good account. Barneys Honour and Ferry Point are others with place claims, whilst any market moves for Take A Stroll should be closely monitored.

The Mullins family juggernaut is rolling on again in 'bumpers' and they should add another victory here with LORD GALE. This well-bred newcomer is sure to be well prepared and the only question mark is over his ability to handle what could be bottomless ground. Noel Meade and Nina Carberry are another top team in this sphere and hold the danger with Eirland, a useful sixth at Fairyhouse last month on his debut. Garryncurra, another newcomer, could run well.
No prizes for originality here but Lord Gale may not need to be anything out of the ordinary to make a winning debut. Eirland is entitled to come from his initial outing and Flemenstar makes most appeal of the remainder.
