It is hard to ignore the chance of Custom Cat who represents the well-regarded pair of Dermot Weld and Pat Smullen and although the colt has quickly earned a rating of 77, preference is for the 85-rated FOOT SOLDIER. His debut form behind stablemate Reply was given a strong boost at Doncaster last week and with further improvement possible, the Danehill Dancer colt could take all the beating. Leatherwood makes most appeal of the others while Danequest is beginning to look exposed.
Foot Soldier may not have totally convinced with his attitude so far, but he has comfortably the best form on offer here and should get off the mark. Leatherwood rates as the main danger, while newcomer Call Me Bubbles makes plenty of appeal on paper.

David Marnane is no stranger to big handicap success after saddling Nocturnal Affair to win the Portland at Doncaster on Saturday and it would be no surprise to see Maundy Money score again in the race after landing this prize 12 months ago. TED DOLLY makes most appeal, however, after a gutsy effort at the Curragh on Sunday, when the seven-year-old was just held close home in similar company. Off the same mark, he looks dangerously well treated but keep an eye on the progressive Princess Severus, who can also get involved.
Toufan Express and Princess Severus both went like horses to keep on side last time so are the pair to focus on here, the former just taken to come out on top and belatedly take advantage of his lenient mark. Ted Dolly went down by the narrowest of margins at the Curragh recently and can complete the 3.

The John Oxx yard appears to have hit a rich vein of form and WHAT A CHARM is taken to give a solid account of herself on her return to the Flat scene. The four-year-old was a cosy winner when last sighted in this sphere at Leopardstown and a 7lb rise in the ratings doesn't look set to stop her today. Winning form on soft ground also bodes well but it would be dangerous to rule out the chances Address Unknown, who gets the vote from Pat Smullen, and the Ballydoyle raider, Freedom, who takes a notable drop in class.
What A Charm may need this first outing since May and did hint at temperament over hurdles after her Cheltenham heriocs, but the form she showed last autumn makes her the clear choice on ratings so she's worth chancing. John Oxx's other 2 runners, Swampfire and Cape of Good Grace are respected, along with Unity and Freedom, both of whom have been placed in group races.

An interesting novice hurdle for punters to solve and while the 135-rated Tavern Times clearly sets the form standard having landed a similar event when last sighted, all eyes will undoubtedly be on RATTAN. The Willie Mullins charge is taken to reverse the form with Bullock Harbour now reopposing off level weights and with Ruby Walsh back in the saddle, the six-year-old could prove a popular selection with on course punters. The hat-trick seeking Original Option is another to take seriously in this company.
An interesting contest and the trio to concentrate on are Tavern Times, Bullock Harbour and Rattan, all still on the upgrade. The first-named took well to this trip last time and achieved a higher level in bumpers than Bullock Harbour, though, so can make it 3 out of 4 for the campaign.

MISS SARENNE is fancied to strike on her debut for the Niall Madden stable. The Flat exploits of Duc de Savoie and Leceile place them head and shoulders above anything else in this race and it would be something of a surprise if one of them didn't win. Code of The West is the most viable contender to chase them home.
