Snakebite failed to justify favouritism when finishing runner-up on his hurdling bow, but should not be long in winning. He finished just over two lengths in front of INARO that day but Jonjo O'Neill's charge won with any amount in hand at Exeter next time and this pretty useful sort is taken to reverse the form here. Martin Pipe's Bumper makes his first start over hurdles and is another to consider.

Foreman finished fourth in the 2004 Champion Hurdle and finished runner-up in a Grade 1 novices' chase at Leopardstown on only his second start over fences. He has disappointed on two subsequent runs over hurdles, however, and is passed over here in favour of LE VOLFONI. BE MY BETTER HALF bounced back to form with a gutsy display when winning on heavy ground at Carlisle last time and he is taken to follow-up here. DEEP REFLECTION won a bumper round here in good style on on his racecourse debut last month and there seems no reason to suggest that he cannot follow-up.
