A competitive race as far as claimers go and preference is for MARY'S PET who is proven over C&D and may be able to dominate this small field. Chjimes usually gives his running and should be rattling home at the finish. Onceaponatime has been threatening to win for a while and the drop into this grade may feasibly spark a return to winning ways. Co Dependent didn't get home at Kempton last time but will be suited by the return to 6f so is also considered.
Frequency comes into this in good form and is taken to make a winning start for Keith Dalgleish from Co Dependent and Chjimes.

LUCKY MEADOWS hasn't been seen since finishing third in a Newmarket maiden in August but wouldn't need to have improved much since to take a hand in the finish here. Timpanist has already had plenty of chances and sets a moderate form standard which can be readily surpassed. Uncle Dermot wasn't beaten far over C&D last time and should go close once more while market support for Aanna Heneeih on his racecourse debut would be interesting as the yard is capable of readying a newcomer.
Aanna Heneeih is a newcomer with the potential to do some damage, but Lucky Meadows earns the vote having shown promise on her sole start at 2 yrs. Uncle Dermot looks best of the rest.

CHRISTMAS COMING returned to form when staying on for second over C&D last time out, there could be more to come and he is taken to go one better off the same mark today. Tuscan King has been running well in defeat and rates a serious threat in an open heat, along with Spinning Ridge and This Ones For Eddy.
It's hard to strike a line through any, but Spinning Ridge won with a bit up his sleeve here last time and looks worth siding with. Jonnie Skull and Tuscan King are others that could well figure prominently.

SCHOOL FOR SCANDAL finally opened his account in a Wolverhampton maiden last time and looks feasibly treated ahead of his handicap debut, with the slight drop in trip unlikely to hinder. She Ain't A Saint returned from a break when winning at Kempton in January and is another that looks feasibly treated. She shapes as if this longer trip will suit and the daughter of Dansili should be capable of winning races off a workable mark. Ibsaar remains unexposed and would be interesting with market support on his first run since September.
Ibsaar is an intriguing contender, but School For Scandal has race-fitness on his side and is proven on polytrack, factors which may well give him the edge.

Buaiteoir is handicapped to win again but has appeared out of sorts of late and it looks worth siding with LOCKANTANKS. Michael Appleby's gelding scored over C&D in January and has run three admirable races in defeat since so gets the nod. Big Bay came in from the cold with a surprise success at Kempton last time and after a dire season last term, has dropped to a very good mark. He has gone up only 2lb for his nose beating of the last named and is another to consider.
In a wide-open affair it could be worth siding with Halsion Chancer, who has won here 8 times in the past and did himself no favours by racing freely at Kempton on his most recent start. Highly Regal and Tewin Wood are just 2 of many other possibilities.

FAILASOOF posted a credible third on his debut at Kempton in October and is expected to relish this step up in trip so gets the verdict. Barry Hills' colt is brother to a middle distance Grade 3 winner in the US and can strike for the inform Barry Hills team. Enriching stayed on for third at Kempton last time and is another expected to come into his own around this trip so can give the selection most to think about. Barnum qualifies for a mark after today but is worth a market check now upped to 1m2f with Keiren Fallon booked to ride.
Failasoof's third on his debut at Kempton in October received a boost when the winner Splash Point snapped up the UAE 2000 Guineas last month. Barnmore and Barnum are both capable of better but neither has the form to match that of the selection.

FREDDIE'S GIRL has dropped 4lb lower than when scoring over C&D in October and could get the run of the race here so is fancied to score. Even Bolder is usually good value for a place but usually finds one or two too good and greater threats appear to come from Estonia, who gained a deserved success here last time and is weighted to go well once more off 3lb higher, and Black Baccara, although the last named is another that keeps on engineering ways of getting beat and isn't one to lump on at short prices.
This race should be run to suit Estonia, and she is taken to confirm recent C&D placings with Black Baccara.
