The veteran DIVINE CALL was not disgraced when third here over six furlongs on his first start for Charlie Wallis and the ageing sprinter could be set to make a successful step up to seven furlongs here. Monarch Maid appears to be on the up and is another who can benefit from an increased trip plus a welcome further 2lb drop from the handicapper. PJ McDonald is an interesting booking aboard Ivan Furtado's newcomer Check 'em Tuesday and any market support should be noted, while John Jenkins saddles two with claims, Only Ten Per Cent and Whaleweigh Station.

Watch out for: Monarch Maid (6)

RUNAIOCHT wasn't seen to best effect last time and is better judged on his third over C&D previously. That form has been boosted twice since and he gets the vote in a tricky-looking contest. Ripp Orf has to be given plenty of respect having hit the frame over course and distance last week, and the booking of Ryan Moore looks a notable one aboard the half-brother of Speculative Bid. However, a chance is taken on Andrew Balding's three-year-old PAPA STOUR who has shown significant improvement on his last two outings on the all-weather and the 180,000 guineas son of Scat Daddy can make another pleasing effort here. Any notable support for Godolphin's Dubawi newcomer Night Castle should be acknowledged, while the filly Setting Sun is another who carries a hefty purchase price against her name and must be given a chance.

PAPA STOUR's effort at Southwell was all the more disappointing given how easily he had scored at Wolverhampton previously, but he's worth another chance away from fibresand. MORNING HAS BROKEN has won impressively throughout January and the Dawn Approach filly is backed to land the hat-trick here for David Elsworth and Ryan Moore who have all so often joined together to land the spoils. Malaspina's three-race winning run came to an end when a beaten favourite at Newcastle last time and Ivan Furtado's Italian import has a career high mark to defy once again here. Therefore, preference is for the hat-trick seeking HUMBERT who was an impressive scorer over course and distance two starts back and then showed plenty of heart when winning by a head at Wolverhampton last time. A 3lb rise is fair and Josephine Gordon appears to have developed a sound rapport with Hugo Palmer's miler. Derek Duval in a first-time hood and Cyrus Dallin are also considered.

HUMBERT has returned an all-round improved model this winter having been gelded, supplementing his C&D victory with a cosy success at Wolverhampton 3 weeks ago. Malaspina has made a fine start for Ivan Furtado and should put up a good show, while Derek Duval may emerge best of the others.
