AWZAAN was unbeaten as a juvenile and enjoyed his finest hour came when winning the Group 1 Middle Park stakes at Newmarket on his final outing last year. He finished well beaten in the 2000 Guineas on his only start this term and has to prove that he has trained on but it is worth taking the chance that he has and that he stays a mile. Both Desert Myth and Cityscape finished runners-up in Listed contests last time and they both command the utmost respect along with Kempton conditions stakes winner Secrecy.
All eyes will be on Awzaan returning from 4 months off and he could blitz these if returning to his winning 2-y-o Group 1 form. There must be a few doubts over him, though, and at a price it could be worth taking a chance on another returning from a break in Cityscape, who leaves the impression of not having peaked yet. Secrecy and Desert Myth are obvious dangers.

ANGLEZARKE returned to form with a solid effort behind Mister Hughie in the Listed Beverley Bullet last week and she has major claims on her first foray into handicap company since her juvenile days. Cheveton won this race last year and is 7lb lower this time round. He has not been at the top of his game of late but it would be no surprise to see him return to form now while Reignier has only managed one win to date but he is a classy sort on his day and is respected.
A competitive handicap, in which few can be counted out. Golden Destiny got back to her best in headgear last time, and looks set to go well again, so gains a narrow vote. Anglezarke looked on the way back at Beverley, and shouldn't be far away if in the same form. Pavershooz can also make the frame.

Lady Eclair is on the upgrade and a 4lb rise for her gutsy success over Red Cadeaux in a Chester Listed handicap last month might not be enough to halt her progress. RANGEFINDER has been raised 8lb for his Chester 2m romp last month but he did win with plenty in hand on that occasion and although this is considerably tougher, he can go well again with trip and ground no problem. Becausewecan and the progressive Kansai Spirit should also be on the premises.
Kansai Spirit took a while to get off the mark, but he looks open to plenty of improvement at this trip and is taken to make it three wins on the bounce. Red Cadeaux and the well-treated Becausewecan can chase him home.

A fascinating renewal and last year's winner Regal Parade has to be respected on the back of his success in the Group 1 Prix Maurice De Gheest at Deauville last month. KINGSGATE NATIVE never managed to land a blow in the Group 1 Nunthorpe Stakes at York last month but it is best to treat that form with caution. He is a top class sprinter and can show his true colours here. Dual Nunthorpe winner Borderlescott is also a top class performer himself and he rates a big danger along with Starspangledbanner who found only Sole Power too good in his bid to land a hat-trick of Group 1 successes in the Nunthorpe last month.
Starspangledbanner already has strong claim to be champion sprinter, but he's not unbeatable, as has been proved twice at York. Rhythm Of Light made an impressive winning debut over 6f here in July and providing the step up to a mile is not a problem, she can go well. A really competitive handicap of its type to end the card, and easy enough to make out a case for loads of these. Boston Blue seems likely to run his race in first-time cheekpieces at an each-way price whilst Zigato will rightly have his supporters, but the handicapper has taken a chance with Line of Duty and there's further improvement in him, too.
