The Paddyman finished second to the impressive Libranno in the Richmond Stakes at Glorious Goodwood on his latest outing and he should play a hand in the outcome again if backing up that effort. However, the one to beat looks to be Sir Mark Prescott's charge HOORAY who landed the Lowther Stakes at York recently in impressive style. She scored over this course and distance on her debut so the switch to the all-weather shouldn't be an issue. Little Lion Man disappointed in the Norfolk Stakes but bounced back with a second at Chester a couple of weeks ago and rates best of the rest.
Hooray's Lowther win looks the best form on offer, but she has been done no favours by the draw and impressive Newmarket maiden winner Signs In The Sand looks a better option from his rail's pitch.

The Michael Jarvis-trained gelding Laaheb is a consistent sort who has been in fine form this year. He finished second in the Geoffrey Freer Stakes last month and will expect to put in another bold bid here. The one to oppose him with could be Saeed Bin Suroor's charge HOLBERG. He landed the Queen's Vase at the Royal meeting at Ascot earlier in the year and followed that up with a Listed success at Goodwood. A maiden winner on this surface, he ticks plenty of boxes. Buxted needs to shake off a 104 day absence but is certainly no forlorn hope.
Laaheb has proved himself a model of consistency in good company this term and is taken to register his first Group race success at the chief expense of Holberg and Saptapadi.

SHAMIR landed his second success in three attempts over this C&D when turning out at the start of last month. He's always put in a good effort on the all-weather so it would be foolish to overlook him this afternoon. Red Somerset was touched off on the line over this C&D back in August and despite being unfancied on that occasion, there should be more to come from Mike Murphy's charge. Purple Gallery and L'Hirondelle make up the shortlist.
Several with claims in a wide-open affair. Shamir will appeal to many following his recent C&D win, but he has been done no favours by the draw and could be worth taking on. Chapter And Verse is a speculative choice back under more favourable conditions. L'Hirondelle and Getcarter are other viable alternatives.

Mahmood Al Zarooni's charge BIONDETTI gets the nod having scored in some style on his racecourse bow at Newmarket last month. He cost 350,000 dollars as a yearling and looks a colt of considerable promise. William Haggas' charge Darej also landed his debut, over 6f at Yarmouth. He's well thought of by the yard so should play a hand this afternoon. Above All can get closer than Ari Gold.
Biondetti and Darej defend unbeaten records, the latter looking open to plenty of improvement after landing the odds at Yarmouth on his debut, but it was a much better race Biondetti won and he's taken to follow up.

TUSCAN GOLD has taken to the step up in trip this year and having finished second over this C&D back in July, despite being badly hampered when making his move 2f out, he looks a leading contender once again. He followed that performance up with victory at Sandown over 1m 6f and is worth sticking with. Corr Point was denied the hat-trick by the slenderest of margins last time and is definitely one for the shortlist while Sir Pitt is much better than his last run suggests and he cannot be ruled out if back on song.
Corr Point keeps pulling out extra as he climbs the weights, but in Tuscan Gold he faces an opponent with likely even more improvement in him.

David Elsworth's filly Snoqualmie Star was narrowly held over 1m 2f on the turf at Nottingham last time out when just lacking the experience of the winner in the closing stages. She's scored on the all-weather over shorter before so the switch back to the polytrack isn't a concern. Internationaldebut has been running really well in better company of late and is an obvious danger here despite his wide draw expected to make life tricky. Primaeval has been disappointing since making a winning return over this C&D but the return to this surface should suit and he isn't one to give upon just yet. Mishrif is another expected to do better back on the polytrack having got stuck in the mud at Brighton last time but the lightly-raced PARVAAZ makes plenty of appeal and gets the vote. Twice a winner already this season, the Rahy colt has only been raised 5lb for his recent comfortable Carlisle success and looks just the sort of improver his shrewd handlers tends to excel with.
Parvaaz is by far the least exposed in the line-up, proving more amenable to restraint when gaining his most recent win, and is taken to follow up. Saharia, Internationaldebut and Yankee Storm are likely to be waiting in the wings if the selection fails to live up to expectations.
