Wayne Catalano's coupled pair Little Missile and Spotted Pearl have run well in tougher company and could be in the shake-up while Next Cat and My Girl Selecto were second and third in similar last time and come into the reckoning. Preference, however, is for POSH PARTY, who has won four times from 11 starts, clocking the fastest dirt time and best speed over this trip in the process. She takes a big drop in class here and should prove too good for her rivals today.
Glacken Bird was third against similar last time but has had plenty of chances at this level without getting her head in front. Capri Key is the quickest over this distance and wasn't far away in second last time. She holds sound claims here but it's worth taking a chance on SHOW ME THE CAT, also second in similar last time when she just failed to hold on over six and a half furlongs here. She should be suited by this trip and is entitled to improve on just her fourth start.
Come Shine, a winner her in similar last time, and No No Angel, beaten a nose in a similar contest, can run big races but it's hard to see them getting the better of SLEWLUTION. She hasn't won since June but that was in a $12,500 claimer and since then she's run well in much tougher company. This big drop in class should see her back to winning ways.
Bold Arrival won over C&D last time - just her third start. This is tougher but she can improve and with the rails draw to help, could run a big race. The speedy Ace's Cappella was third in similar last time but has something to find on that effort. TALLY HO DIXIE was a fair way back in second over six and a half furlongs here last time but faded late. She was beaten a neck over C&D in similar before that and can go one better today.
R P's Thunder and Its All have showed some nice speed in their races to date, with the latter's chances possibly enhanced today by the addition of first-time blinkers. BECK AND CALL turned in a much-improved display last time when third in a similar contest. High-scoring jockey Roman Chapa takes the ride today and that might just give the gelding the edge here.
Flashdance Star is as quick as any of these and was seen working out well recently. However, she's been a beaten favourite in similar the last three starts and is passed over in favour of MURKY WATERS, a equally speedy sort who was a cosy winner of a similar contest over C&D last month. More can be expected while Double Miss, second to the selection, has won subsequently and looks the main danger.
DEAREST OF ALL improved on her debut run to finish a good second last time (Irish Accent third) in a similar contest. She clocked the fastest time over this trip in the process, should improve for the run and can go one better today. Casino Peach, another improving sort tried in blinkers, could be the one for the exacta while newcomer Royal Leah could go well.
NICOLE'S DREAM is in outstanding form at present, her nose defeat in similar last time bring to an end of string of four successive victories. She's the quickest of these over this trip and her blistering early pace should see here back in the winner's enclosure today. Firststatedeposit and Roarofvictory won last time but step up in class and a better bet for the exacta may be Without A Doubt, winner over 6f in better company last time but not certain to be suited by this trip.
Little White Lie is a speedy sort who can improve on only her second start following a long lay-off while Justafox won on her debut and has run well at this level since. Preference, however, is for LUNA SEA, the fastest of these on dirt and over this trip. She was only a neck second in a tougher contest over C&D last time and, dropped in class today, should prove too good for her rivals.
