Verdict

BESPOKEN made a fair debut round the Turffontein Inside track and should much prefer today's longer trip. The Greyville track should be no problem as she has drawn well. ROY'S DOLLAR was a good second to a promising newcomer and improving. She knows this track now. SWAN DANCE improved on the polytrack and is bred for this longer trip. SEEK THE SUMMIT must earn again.

Verdict

CAPE ARROW was well backed but showed much inexperience on debut. She is by Silvano and expected to enjoy the trip. She has a great draw. CELTIC CAPTAIN's fair second over this track and trip on debut gives her the experience. She must improve. JUST LIKE MAGIC ran on from a tough position to finish ahead behind CAPE ARROW and demands respect. Also first timers in this.

ALPINE RIDGE has the best recent form on the polytrack having won here last time although there are a few that try the surface first time. She runs as if in need of this even longer trip. Verdict

Back to the turf track for one of the big ones. REAL PRINCESS has lit the turf up in Kzn but this is her acid test. She takes on INARA who has already notched up two Grade 1 wins in the Western Cape - over two different trips. The pair drew alongsides - great race and it doesn't end there. Equus Horse Of The Year LEGISLATE is back to his favourite track. The Dynasty colt is unbeaten here and if anywhere near his best should be tough to beat.
