NO RULES only finished in mid-division at Ayr last time but at least that means he arrives here off an unchanged mark. He has scored on two occasions this term and will appreciate both trip and ground. Whitcombe Spirit remains a maiden but continues to give a good account and should be on the premises once again. Ned Ludd shoulders top-weight but a repeat of his third here to Sweetheart in May would see him involved. He does return from a notable break though.
Hawridge Star clearly isn't the easiest to train, but he overcame a lengthy absence to win at Haydock last year and could well score again if in the same form on his first start since. Black Or Red has shaped better than the result the last twice and should be up to going close from this sort of mark, while No Rules has been reliable in the main and has sound place claims.

Five Cents ran better than his finishing position suggests when fifth to Mister Hughie at Haydock last time and looks likely to be suited by this extra furlong. He could be another juvenile winner for Godolphin in a very open contest but the John Best yard is back in form and JAIRZIHNO, a fair second recently at Kempton, gets the vote. Richard Hannon and Mick Channon house plenty of juvenile talent and are represented by Master Of Dance and Pintura respectively. Both are well respected.
Ransom Note suggested he was better than the result at Doncaster last time and can land a trappy nursery. Rodrigo de Freitas and Master of Dance could provide the stiffest resistance.

A trappy sprint but We Have A Dream continues to progress at an impressive rate and was especially stylish when dismissing his rivals at Folkestone last time. However, HAAJES, a good winner winner from The Jobber at Ffos Las and only beaten just over three lengths when tenth at Ayr last time, is generally consistent and could come out best. Aye Aye Digby has his share of weight but this C&D winner should give a good account along with Son Of The Cat.
Haajes ran a cracker on the wrong side at Ayr last time and can return to winning ways in this competitive sprint. Seamus Shindig should have the race run to suit and can go well, while Phantom Whisper won this last year and represents an in-form stable.

In the frame on his last eight outings, twice going down in photo finishes including over C&D last time behind Sarah Park, he seems sure to give his usual solid account. Simon Dow has his string in fine form and Northern Spy, a good second at Kempton latest, makes some appeal from the foot of the handicap. Avertis has only had a light season and should be fresher than most and makes the short-list along with Cape Hawk.
An open-looking handicap, few obviously ahead of their marks. A high draw is often an advantage at this distance, and for that reason Cape Hawk is given the nod over the reliable Effigy. Den's Gift's prominent style is well suited to this track and he's another to consider.

SOPHIE'S BEAU looks progressive and went close to building on a satisfactory Newmarket debut when just finding Side Glance too good at headquarters last month. She appeared to relish the drop back to 6f and should be ideally suited by this sharp track. London Gold showed plenty of potential behind Pastoral Player at Newbury and will get involved with normal improvement. Bonheurs Art and Warning Song have shown more than enough to make their presence felt.
The newcomer Inler is one to keep an eye on given the support he attracted prior to being declared a non-runner on his intended debut, but form pick Carnaby Street sets the bar pretty high and is taken to get off the mark. Newmarket second Sophie's Beau has obvious place claims, while London Gold can step up on his initial effort which came in a decent contest.

PHONIC was noted staying on steadily when third to Wigmore Hall at Newmarket over a mile and should have no problem with this extra furlong. Indeed he should relish this trip and can deliver a local success for John Dunlop. Ralph Beckett has his string in high form and Cast Of Stars showed up pleasingly when staying on in the closing stages at Chepstow. Improvement looks assured. Regal Guest improved considerably when runner-up here last time and has decent claims on that evidence.
Plenty of these are going to improve now having their stamina more fully tested and Phonic looks a prime example. He is taken to beat Cast of Stars, who should improve for his debut, while the consistent Crystal Gale is another to consider.

COUNT OF TUSCANY concedes weight all round but he's gradually improving with his racing. His latest effort at this venue saw him go down in a multiple photo finish and he now steps up in trip on his handicap bow. This looksa decent opportunity for him to get off the mark with further progress anticipated. Gaselee showed ability over this trip earlier in the year and looks interesting on her return to 12f off bottomweight. She rates the main threat. Cherish The Moment and Scene Two have shown enough to warrant a place on the shortlist.
Beauchamp Xiara and Count of Tuscany both have potential to make an impact on their first venture into handicap company, and it's the former that looks to figure on the more attractive mark. Lady Rusty and Gaselee should both appreciate the return to 12f and may go off at longer odds than they are entitled.
