These races for National Hunt jockeys are always popular and this may be Jamie Goldstein's day on the hitherto luckless MOHANAD. The gelding has been a true model of consistency under both codes for the past year and fully deserves to get his head in front. He handled the track very well when second here in June and stays this trip well. Zelos Diktator goes well on this type of track and looks an obvious threat, whilst Where's Susie and William's Way both are deserving of consideration in an open contest.
Where's Susie ran creditably despite not getting the run of the race at Windsor last time, and she can add to her winning tally for the year. Zelos Diktator and William's Way are others to consider.

In an otherwise trappy contest, there's the possibility that SUMMERINTHECITY is better than this level. The colt returned to form when landing a competitive Class 2 contest at Haydock last month and handles ground with cut. A rise of 5lb for that success seems acceptable and this looks a good opportunity to supplement gains. Olynard looks best of the older contingent and represents a bigger threat after dropping a few pounds since August. Having seemingly lost his touch, Kellys Eye returned to form at Ascot when a competitive fourth and a repeat would see him involved.
A tight-knit handicap and the ability to handle forecast conditions will be crucial. Avertor has ticks in all the right boxes and is open to more improvement than anything in the field, so he can take this at the expense of Kellys Eye and One Way Or Another.

As is the case with so many juveniles from the Brian Meehan academy, PEARL ARCH improved dramatically from his first run to land the odds at Newcastle. He is clearly well regarded and may be better than the bare form suggests. Mutual Force appeals as the better of the Godolphin pair, especially when taking into account the 7lb claim of his pilot and looks a powerful opponent. Colebrooke is a possible improver but a bigger danger is Inside, representing leading connections and sure to relish this step up in trip.
The fitting of a tongue tie raises the odd worry, but Pearl Arch could well have been let in lightly on the back of his maiden win and he gets the nod over unexposed pair Inside and Colebrooke as a result.

NEW LATIN is coming along nicely and this looks a good opportunity for him to get off the mark. A beaten favourite last time when a length second over this trip at Haydock, the son of Iffraaj is progressing steadily and clearly handles ground with cut. Celtic Sixpence is an obvious contender having found one too good on each of her three starts so far, whilst Poppy cannot be discounted representing the Hannon-Hughes combination. She showed more than enough on debut to merit respect, as does Poyle Judy, a fair fifth on her polytrack debut.
Not a strong maiden for the track and New Latin has shown enough in 2 outings to suggest he can take this. Celtic Sixpence should be involved once again, whilst newcomer Obiter Dicta wouldn't have to be anything out of the ordinary to get involved.

WEAPON OF CHOICE made a promising start to his racing career when runner-up behind a useful sort from the Richard Hannon stable (who has won again since) over 1m here last month and, with further improvement expected, he will be fancied to go one better today. Flodden is the most experienced member of the line-up and would have every chance if recapturing the sort of form which saw him take fourth spot at York in August while any market support for either newcomer, Iron Step and Hidden Valley should be noted.
Weapon of Choice's promising second here on his debut sets the standard and he is taken to go one better, with Flodden and newcomer Hidden Valley the ones who may give him most to do.

COMPTON BLUE could prove a tough nut to crack representing last year's winning stable. The four-year-old gelding arguably produced a career best performance when landing the spoils over C&D the best part of five weeks ago and may be able to defy a 4lb rise in the handicap. Master Mylo and Beaver Patrol are others to arrive in winning form and each are worthy of consideration but it's Richard Fahey's representative, Bullet Man, who rates the biggest threat on the back of his narrow defeat at Hamilton last month.
Master Mylo needs to improve, but the way he finished off his race when winning last time suggests he can find a bit extra stepped up in trip here. Beaumont's Party and Satwa Laird are others with perfectly valid claims.

Dynamic Drive produced his best effort yet when runner-up on the all-weather at Kempton last time and should mount a bold bid back on turf, but slight preference is for IRON CONDOR. He showed a likeable attitude when beating subsequent winner Celestial Girl on a polytrack surface almost three weeks ago and it's interesting that title-chasing jockey Paul Hanagan comes in for the ride. Off just a 1lb higher mark, he could follow up but Fascination, Shianda and Beat Route are all in with some sort of chance.
This should be run at a sound pace with Donna Elvira and Fascination in the field and those ridden a bit more patiently can hold sway. The handicapper has taken a chance putting Iron Condor up just 1 lb on his return to turf and he makes most appeal. Kerchak and Dynamic Drive have place prospects.
